10-11-2009 CONSECRATION We stand or fall on what we believe in. If we stand for nothing, then we fall for everything. If we stand believing in a God who can consecrate a broken vessel making it an awesome tool in the hands of a mighty God, then this is my God. I’m an imperfect vessel that could only give ashes for the beauty of holiness that is in Jesus Christ. Jesus is Gods righteousness perfected in holiness, tried in the fire to total perfection, perfect. My Jesus showed a love for me that is so perfect, a true love that can only come from a living loving God. It is only by your grace and truth Lord you have my attention and desire for more of you, for you complete me and make me whole. You are one who gave me purpose and you alone are my everything, from a broken life made righteous in the holiness in fellowship with you. If ever a loving God could be worshiped for this and worthy of all my praises for such a gift of life as I have, then it is my Lord Jesus the savior of my soul, for it is you who have consecrated me unto God, made me holy, and righteous now. I stand white robed in your righteousness believing and ready. Come Jesus, come my Lord the lover of my soul, I am washed and waiting and I love you so. Steven 8-11-2009 GOD’S PEOPLE ARE REFLECTIVE TRUTHEp. 4:13-16 Verse 15 Speaking the truth in love we will in every respect grow up into him who is the head, the Messiah. Ep. 5:14-17 Verse 17 So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. 3 Jn. 1-6, 9 Verse 6 Whosoever abides in him sins not; Ph. 3:20-21 But we are citizens of heaven, and it is from there that we expect a deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will change the bodies we have in this humble state and make them like his glorious body, using the power which enables him to bring everything under his control. Ps. 39:12-14 1 Chr. 29:15-19 Lu. 10:20 Great power and authority are given of the Lord Jesus Christ with real joy. Lu. 6:45 For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Ro. 10:10 Righteousness- -salvation 1 Pe. 1:22-23 purified yourselves by obeying the truth. Jn. 15:3 Jn. 17:17 Ep. 5:26 He. 11:13-16 Verse 13 acknowledging that they were aliens, and temporary residents on the earth. The Spirit of Truth needs to be proclaimed daily not because the Word of truth (God’s written Word) is unimportant, but precisely because it is so very important. We are living epistles read of men. We live in an age that increasingly despises and denigrates prepositional truth. Even within the Church it is becoming a source of embarrassment to contend for the doctrines of the faith, as if all contending was of necessity contentious, and who wants to be labeled divisive in our increasingly ecumenical age? 1 Kings 17:24 The Word of the Lord in your mouth is truth. How did she know? So many churches seek to possess truth; God seeks to make us true. The difference is vast and the kinds of men produced by each pursuit are vastly different and will have a different effect. Jn. 14:6 “I am the truth and no one comes to the Father but by me.” Truth is more than the sum of the right answers. It is not something to have at all, but something first and above all else, to be. Truth is a Spirit, a life to live and this spirit, this life is the way, and only way to the Father. Suddenly it draws upon us that it is not having truths, but by becoming true that we are saved. God’s desire is not too merely inform us, but to transfigure us, not to fill us with truths, but to make us truth, “His Truth”. That is the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of adoption which sheds God’s love abroad in our hearts, it is the Spirit of Truth that’s living in you, alive quickening the mortal flesh. It’s impossible to touch God’s Truth and not be changed; Jesus garment he wore when touched by the woman in faith brought healing. How much greater the Spirit of Truth in the knowledge of Gods manifold wisdom and grace is released in the blood covered saint sojourning on this earth onto to his heavenly home. Pilot asked Jesus what is truth? Jesus said nothing he was truth standing before him. May Gods Truth fill you and His grace be unto the power this day to overcome giving peace. Blessings Steven 8-8-2009 THE OLIVET DISCOURSE The Olivet discourse is truly amazing to me, Jesus is God and still God wants and desires man to follow Him in prayer. Who can understand the dept of such an amazing and awesome loving God we serve. These three versions of Jesus’ Olivet Discourse from the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke are during Jesus final visit to Jerusalem and He had been warning the Jewish people that God’s judgment was about to fall heavily upon their nation (Mt. 23), at which time their ‘house’ (the Jews called the Temple in Jerusalem God’s ‘house’) would be left desolate, or destroyed. During those same days Jesus told His disciples very clearly that the Temple would be totally leveled to the ground. In response to these words, Jesus' disciples approached Him as He sat on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Temple, and asked Him. 1) When these events would begin, and 2) When they would be finally fulfilled or completed, resulting in His coming to restore the promised kingdom of David. These 3 Versions of the Olivet Discourse are necessary to clarify a misunderstanding of them promoted by Dispensationalists. Dispensationalists teach that, as Jesus responded to His disciple's questions, He was actually foretelling two separate future desolations of the Temple. But when one compares Matthew and Mark’s versions of the Discourse with Luke’s, it is clear to any reasonable person that the ‘Abomination of Desolation’ mentioned by Matthew and Mark is the destruction of Jerusalem by the armies of Rome (in 70 AD) foretold by Luke. There is no good reason why any reader of the Bible should be confused about this. Matthew and Mark wrote from a Jewish perspective to a largely Jewish audience. Their use of the phrase ‘Abomination of Desolation’ would have been readily understood by fellow Jews. Knowing, however, that Gentiles would also be reading their account of Jesus' words, they warned their readers to be sure that they understand correctly. Luke, on the other hand, was a Gentile writing to a predominantly Gentile audience. He was a traveling companion of the apostle Paul (the ‘apostle to the Gentiles’), and therefore under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Luke provided a version of the Olivet Discourse that makes everything clear, and therefore requires no warning to his readers that they be careful to understand. Despite the reasonableness of this perspective, Dispensationalists insist that in Matthew and Mark's versions Jesus was referring to an ‘abomination of desolation’ that would occur in the distant future, while in Luke He was referring to the soon-coming destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple by the Romans. Dispensationalists call this concept ‘dual fulfillment’. In taking this stance they deny the fundamental principle that scripture should be allowed to interpret and clarify other scripture, especially when different scripture passages present accounts of the same event. In order to support their views, Dispensationalists require the Son of God to break the simplest rules of biblical interpretation, sowing confusion by talking out of both sides of their mouth when Jesus is giving the most important prophetic message in history; in other words, to use 'doubletalk'. Luke interprets the gospels of Matthew and Mark for the Gentile reader, while Dispensationalists suppress Luke’s help and use the obscure phrase ‘Abomination of Desolation’ to confuse and mislead people. THE OLIVET DISCOURSE – MATTHEW’S VERSION (24:1-35) THE SETTING ON OLIVET And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him, to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.” And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when shall these things be?” and “What shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?” WORLD HISTORY FROM THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM TO THE SECOND COMING And Jesus answered and said to them, “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall become cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM When you therefore see THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoso reads, let him understand), then let them who are in Judea flee into the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house. Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that nurse in those days! But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. THE SECOND COMINGThen if any man shall say unto you 'Look, here is Christ, or there' believe it not. For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For where the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. WHEN IT WILL ALL START Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near — at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” THE OLIVET DISCOURSE – MARK’S VERSION (13:1-31) THE SETTING ON OLIVET And as He went out of the temple, one of his disciples said unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, See these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, “Tell us, when shall these things be?” and “What shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?” WORLD HISTORY FROM THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM TO THE SECOND COMING And Jesus answering them began to say, “Take heed lest any man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues you shall be beaten: and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Spirit. Now brother shall betray brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM But when you see THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let him that reads understand), then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains. And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter there, to take any thing out of his house. And let him that is in the field not turn back again to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse in those days! And pray that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation, which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom He has chosen, He has shortened the days. THE SECOND COMING And then if any man shall say to you 'Look, here is Christ' or 'Look, he is there' believe him not. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall He send his angels, and shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. WHEN IT WILL ALL START Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near — at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” THE OLIVET DISCOURSE – LUKE’S VERSION (21:5-33) THE SETTING ON OLIVET And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, He said “As for these things which you behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down”. And they asked him, saying, “Master, but when shall these things be?” and “What sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?” WORLD HISTORY FROM THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM TO THE SECOND COMING And He said, “Take heed that you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go not after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not yet. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what you shall answer. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to refute or resist. And you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience possess your souls. THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM 20 And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its DESOLATION is near. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that nurse in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. THE SECOND COMING And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near. WHEN IT WILL ALL START Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. God is amazing!!! Blessings Steven 7-29-2009The cost for mans redemption and life eternal was paid for at a very high price.7-29-2009 Many have worn crosses around their necks and attached them to the dashboards of their cars, but a dedication to truth will inevitably transform the cross from a harmless decoration into a real, daily experience. Daily purging your spirit of lies is not a painless undertaking. Every compromise, every exaggeration, and every lie is, in its essence, an avoidance of the humiliation of death. Think about the first lie of the serpent in the garden, every lie since is calculated to appeal to and exalt ambition, vanity, self-gratification, and pride; that is everything that crucified our Lord, and everything He died to set us free from. The choice to walk in truth is a personal choice that is not popular; it is far easier to talk about it, (“TRUTH”) than to walk in it. For an example to slow down and barely stop for a stop sign at a crossing is not ninety percent obedience to man’s traffic laws; it is one hundred percent failure to stop. To exaggerate just a little bit, or to manipulate someone emotions, or to pretend to posture just a little is to lie completely. We now live in a world of half truths, an outright lies. If it were a school room and God was the teacher, what would be the passing grade for the Christian life? Will sixty percent truth do? Truth is absolute, and something is either the whole truth, or it is not the truth at all. The oath for the witness who takes the courtroom stand is asked to place his or her hand on the bible and swear as a witness to truth. They are asked to swear an oath not to perjury, but tell the truth, the whole truth, so help them God. What is truth in this case? Such obsoleteness is foreign to us now in this age of the worldly progressive liberal thinking. It seams incredible that God’s passing grade could actually be one hundred percent. Even the least bit of leaven still leavens the whole. America you have a choice between truth and a lie, between integrity and connivance and connivance is repeated daily and it’s a sad witness against you. It is as frequent as the significance of the stop sign, but no, there is no stop sign to you, now it’s not recognized and you now have removed the stop sign, even though it is still there. Until we all resolve to come to a full stop, to become absolute truth and integrity, instead of seeking the minimum amount where it is believed only to can get by, our lives will remain devoid of real power, perhaps full of much sound of fury, but where it counts, signify nothing. By seeking minimal truth, we are condemned to experiencing only a minimal grace and forgiveness. Gods offer is not just enough grace to get by. His forgiveness when we fall short is an absolute as the goals He sets. He who presses forth and aims for less than the whole truth will find himself experiencing less than the whole of God’s forgiveness. Freedom from condemnation, despair, and shame come from aiming higher not lower. Paul writes in Philippians Chapter 3:14 We have an upward calling in Christ Jesus to fulfill and that is complete perfected truth inside and out; it is our robe of righteousness washed white by the blood of Jesus in the sacrifice of the cross. 7-25-2009TREESI will always be fascinated with Gods trees. Isa. 42 Isa. 55 Ps. 1
Trees tell a story and the tree in the picture has a story to tell. I think maybe its roots must go down a great distance to find any water. Why? Because I’ve been there, and it is very dry and windy on the south side of the Grand Canyon. This part of the canyon is located in Arizona and its like a desert, dry with winds so strong you’re afraid you will be blown over the edge to the bottom a mile below. Nature speaks and the bible gives truth, both in a language that are unique to our souls. God planted that cedar tree there just so I could see His handy work. Seeing Gods wonders like this each one of us will perceive it differently. I loved walking along the edge of The Grand Canyon on the south side with it’s grandeur a panoramic scene with it’s rugged backdrop for the trees struggling to survive this harsh place. The Grand Canyon is a place of beauty and adversity. I adore looking, gazing, and feeling the grandeur of the Canyon and all that God has planted there. There is a river running below, the Colorado and looking from the rim it appears to be only a little stream, but its water cut through this land that’s now an awesome landscape. How old you must be oh canyon and the changes you must have gone through in the many years since you were nothing. My thoughts about that tree planted on the rim being so close to the edge it is so much like me. It survives because it has deep roots for life. Its branches are hardened from the harsh life of the Canyon. But still it continues to gain strength from the trunk that’s rooted deep and growing. To remain nourished and living, I thank God for Jesus who has grafted me into His tree. Yes, there are times when things go wrong. All is not perfect in the forest Christian community. Branches become diseased and fall away and it always leaves a gaping wound in the parent, but it can be healed. Jesus can heal and take care of those who are His. If the trees roots are not solid, rooted in the tree of Life it will not grow up with shared respect for Gods love or ways. The tree of life is strong and without being grafted in a tree becomes stunted or crooked, and its branches find carrying life’s burden all the more difficult producing little useful fruit. The strong humble tree is the one that grows with its roots running deep, with all its parts sharing in equal care. This is the tree that will survive; this is the one whose branches will prosper. Life throws much turbulence our way, many ill winds rip at our trunks, but we can flourish when we share the burdens with Jesus. Many trees in our Christian forest find themselves attacked from the outside. The environment spews out many poisons, and our young are so vulnerable. But the worst disease of all is the one that corrupts our roots destroying the heart. You see this in the first joint efforts of growth taken by each set of the newly married young. It is then that so much of the future begins, and that is where strength will be shown. If we have a strong beginning of mutual understanding then the weather of future storms will be shrugged off from our bows, and like snow it will melt into the sweet waters of the streams that flow around us. The stream that flows from heavens thrown will give life. Unlike the Colorado River that will join a certain flow to the sea - a sea that contains all of life’s woes and is watched over with the care of God. I walk by my conversation with my God, my friend, that’s the living Tree of life, and as I walked I thought about another facet to all this. Where does the little cedar get the power to start to sprout? Why does it bother? After all, it’s going to grow up in such a dangerous place, on the rim of the canyon full of dangers. But then again, the seed knows that it has a long history, for there have been so many cedars before it, and they too obeyed Gods creative plan of it being all worthwhile. We Christians have been given a great heritage that all those who came before knew that it was a special unique opportunity with God, one that could bring great light to the world. There are times when the Christian family may well wonder if it is all worthwhile. Look at all the problems we face, all the pollutants we must weather. Should we bother to try? Do we have the strength? Then we look to our past, to the wonders that God has shown us, and we know, we just know, that we can grow and be strong. We each live in the merit of the miracles that God has shown our ancestors, and in these miracles we can find understanding and perseverance. In this we see David extolling those groundbreaking miracles. We should always be mindful of them and nourish our souls with their merit. When we internalize these wonders, then we realize that anything is possible. Our roots have grown in soil enriched with God’s mercies, and with His Word we can overcome any storm or drought. “Give ear, my people, to my Word; incline your ear to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth with a parable, I will utter riddles concerning days of old.” The Law is so very deep and wondrous. There is so much we can’t fathom; rather, God tells us His will through stories and parables so we can grasp a bit with our limited understanding. Even then we are faced with many riddles, questions that tease our minds, but no matter, for when what is today becomes the “days of old,” then all will be understood. Too often, we don’t realize how much this self-knowledge can mean to our young. When things are difficult we should be able to look back and know that our ancestors saw great things, and that this merit is ours is well tied to God with events that have been the making of our very essence. We have seen what happens when we loosen those bonds, and what strength we have when we remain true. Yes, those trees whisper so very much to one’s heart. They reach up to the very heavens while they weather living in this world. They never give up or despair and neither should we, weather fair or not we will look at that landscape of heaven with Jesus. 7-20-2009We Need A Miracle From God, Not A Bailout! It’s hard for a complete culture to change, but we are seeing in America a forced change in these last few years. For the last decade the fabric of what made America great has been slowly’ destroyed and replaced with the Bling of the world, and mans selfish pursuit of power and pleasure. The family traditional values of the 1950’s are almost non existent now. Proverbs 23:15-25 It takes a bit of effort now days to search out real truth. We spend a lot of time seeking right to make a righteous answer or decision for good of family, community, church, and Country. Proverbs 24:3-7 The contrast however is to look at where we have come from, and asks ourselves where we will end up if we all let this go any further. The house of our nation is filled now, with those who seek to destroy rather than build, and the lust for more power. They would undo all of what the framers of our Countries Constitution stood for and that is one nation under God. What has continually made America great is Gods divine hand on, Americas Family, Church, and Community. Our founding fathers of this great nation knew that little government would provide great freedom and to limit governments roll to protecting the nation would be enough. To remember who we are as a people of God, and not forget where we have come from and where we are headed is wise. The battle we face daily is a battle won in the spirit first. We have been loosing the battle in the spirit for years, and the results are now plane to see all around us. Joshua 5:13-15 We have a divine captain ready to fight for righteousness sake, but are spiritually so dumbed down now as a nation were told you can’t hear from God. God is speaking loudly, but few hear him. What little effort is made to buy truth and be delivered is not thought of as real wisdom. The holy and divine are not even on the radar scope in the planning of the battle that is forming and will overcome all those who are not wise. Joshua 6:2 The Lord wanted Joshua TO KNOW that He had already given them victory…that He was going to deliver their enemies into their hands. Then God gave Joshua the battle strategies he was to use. We dare not go into any battle unless we come fresh from Gods presence. Our greatest military commanders prayed before their battles asking for victory. How can we as a nation expect victory without Gods divine help? If we are a nation under God then we as a nation should put our trust in God. The ancient evil spiritual system now has risen up world wide, and has to be cut down. To lay the axe to the root of the problem is to invoke God in prayer to deliver us from evil. Jeremiah was given a word to drop on these very same kind of people who were filled with the very same kind of spirit. Jeremiah Chapters 50 and 51. God’s word is forever and we need to remind these spirits about forever...in all our prayers to God and about His word. Matthew 3:10 The ungodly fruit springing forth of the works of the flesh are manifest. Galatians 5:19-21 10 spiritual steps to prepare you for Christ’s coming.

7-19-2009We have been given the power and everything we need to overcome.
The New Covenant In Christ Jesus The close relationship between the Word of God and the blood comes into focus in the concept of a covenant. It’s the blood that witnesses to the Word and finally seals its testimony. This custom has been completed in the covenant of our Lord Jesus Christ, a precious truth to which we now turn our full attention. The gospel: In Gods mercy and longsuffering made a way for man to be redeemed through a blood covenant. The blood shed for the remission of mans sins was a lamb in the form of a man, Jesus Christ the only begotten of the Father God, His very Word. This act of Love from a living, loving God when received, redeems a person when in faith of his own will, with spoken word in confession that he is a sinner and with repentant of his sin accepts Gods gracious invitation of redemption unto eternal life in Christ Jesus. Romans 1:16-25 Paul writes; For I am not ashamed of the Good News, since it is God’s powerful means of bringing salvation to everyone who keeps trusting, to the Jew especially, but equally to the Gentile. For in it is revealed how God makes people righteous in his sight; and from beginning to end it is through trust. As the Tanakh puts it, “But the person who is righteous will live his life by trust.” Denying Jesus Blood Sacrifice. Romans 1:18-25 What is now revealed is God’s anger from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people who in their wickedness keep suppressing God’s truth; because what is known about God is plain to them, since God has made it plain to them. For ever since the creation of the universe his invisible qualities both eternal power and his divine nature have been made clearly seen, because they can be understood from what he has made, Therefore, they have no excuse; because although they know who God is, they do not glorify him as God or thank him. On the contrary, they have become futile in their thinking; and their understanding hearts have become darkened. Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like a bird, animals or reptiles! This is why God has given them up to the vileness of their hearts’ lusts, to the shameful misuse of each other’s bodies. They have exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, by worshipping and serving created things, rather than the Creator. Praise be he for ever. Amen. Blood today as in the past represents life; it is the symbol of loyalty unto death. This is why the color red, representing blood, is so prominent in national emblems and flags all over the world. Meditate upon Isaiah 49:13-16 Look at your hands. Imagine God writing your name on the palm of his hand. Think of the blood of Christ as His writing fluid. Now clasp your hand in His. You are ready for prayer. Meditate upon Exodus 12:13 In what sense was the blood a sign to both the Israelite and to God? Read Psalm 50:5 in several translations. Observe how the covenant is made with God by sacrifice. Why are those that make it called faithful ones or saints? How is the seal of God, related to the concept of a covenant in blood? 2 Corinthians 1:22. God’s covenant of grace is seen in the very initiative of God giving His promise of redemption. It is a gift simply announced by His word, not because man deserved it, but because God is merciful. From the beginning, the blood of the covenant is a testimony of God’s unmerited love. The first pledge from God is heard in the Garden of Eden following man’s disobedience. Scarcely had the creature believed satan’s lie before God declared that one day the power of the usurping king would be crushed by the seed of women (Genesis 3:15). Adam had nothing to merit this assurance. God just gave the promise. Then, showing His compassion, He sacrificed an innocent animal to make coats of skin to cover our shameful forebears (3:21) The bloody garments wrapped around man the certainty of divine care despite his sinfulness. Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness My beauty are, my glorious dress; Midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed, With joy shall I lift up my head. Lord, I believe Thy precious blood Which at the mercy seat of God For ever doth for sinners plead, For me, e’en for my soul was shed. N L. Van Zinzendorf Translated By John Wesley It’s a finished work as Jesus cried out on the cross, “It’s finished!” With that statement from our Lord his shed blood is the atonement for mans sin to open a way of relationship with the Creator. By Gods rich sacrifice Jesus paid atones for all our sins. Claim it, declare it, and walk in its power its Gods gift to the born again believer in covenant with Christ. Romans 5:8-11 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Hebrews 10:22 My lasting joy and comfort here Is Jesus death and blood; I with this passport can appear Before the Throne of God. Admitted to the realms of bliss I then see Him as He is, Where countless pardoned sinners meet Adoring at His feet. Christian Renatus Von Zinzendorf IN COVENANT WITH CHRIST Mt. 28:18-20 Anything that would attempt to stop the truth of the good news of the gospel of grace will evoke God’s wrath. The tower of Babel was being constructed in times past where one language and one focus of evil genius were making attempts of usurping the power of creation. Genesis 11:1-9 Gods Word is eternal and the tower of the spirit of the men in the time of Babel has risen once more. Jesus has given authority to bind and loose concerning spiritual maters and God will be glorified in Jesus giving power in overcoming in Christ name, glorying the kingdom of God. God gave the prophet Jeremiah a word to speak concerning the land of (Kasdim), Babylon. The old covenant was on the outside a flesh covenant before Jesus came, but the new covenant is a spiritual covenant created on the inside by God and that of the heart. The land of Babylon is physical and a type and shadow of the things of the new. If the system of Babel with its hatred for Gods truth with reprobate minds then set to do evil continually and Gods wrath was upon them then. God has not changed he is the same today as He was yesterday and forever. Jeremiah was given a word for this people and system, a system that would deny God his glory of creation. Again the same system and evil plan of usurping the truth of a blood covenant between God and man through Jesus Christ, a blood covenant established in Jesus sacrifice to make a way back to God road blocked with the one world lie of evil men. God’s word is eternal and the system of Babylon is building back like it did in ancient times. Jeremiah dropped Gods word on them, and it was forever. We will stand upon the Rock of truth and drop the same words that Jeremiah did in Chapters 50 and 51 to reminder all those who would usurp Gods power again, and their fate as listed in the scriptures spoken in ancient times a fate that is for them forever. Blessings in the name of Jesus Christ. Steven 7-18-2009LAWLESSNESS OF MEN 1 Co. 10:21-24, 31 You can’t drink both a cup of the Lord and a cup of demons; you can’t partake in both a meal of the Lord and a meal of demons. Gods Word is holy and protects, providing for kingdom living for the here and now and latter for a life with God in His heaven forever later. The God haters or the lawless whose language is the lie would not be comfortable with God in His heaven. Why? Because they would reject everything of Gods divine plan for man. Demons who know their fate will continue to try to blind man and deceive those without truth of a living loving God. Jude 9- Angel Michael he did not dare bring an insulting charge, to satan regarding Moses, but said “May Adonai (The Lord) rebuke you”. Gods Word is power and a light in complete darkness. Amos 8:4-14 Amos 9:11-21 When we drink from the Lords cup and eat at His table what exactly does this mean? What this means is to take time each day to seek God through the His Word given in the Bible. When we spend time with Jesus drawing near, we receive Gods Spirit the new wine that is Gods revelation with great joy in truth. Revelation because it’s from the one who can not lie, and joy that uplifts and enlightens giving direction and real meaning to life. God desires to establish relationship with His children born from above. This can only happen through Gods invention with His Word of truth. Without truth (the mind of God) Understanding spiritually becomes dull, but to eat daily at the Lords table your mind, body, and spirit are renewed and ready to receive something that is unmistakable from God, a flow of His grace. Sometimes God’s wisdom pertains to you, your family, your church, or community. To not allow God into every aspect of life is to deny His power and only rely on yours alone. Know that it is always a very personal experience when walking with the Creator. You must read and believe becoming pregnant with Gods truth giving. What’s been given is always a flow of Gods grace that comes in the spoken word from a born again believing heart. Gods grace and truth are poured out to the glory of God through the spoken truth not in the lawlessness of the spoken lie. When you touch the living water you will live, you just have to come as you are, and see if God is faithful or even better still, two come together speaking Gods truth out loud continuing in the presence of The Holy Spirits call. There has to be a great falling away from the real truth of God before the lawless one will appear and it is coming fast. We are precious to our heavenly Father when the truth of His only begotten son Jesus is spoken of. Why? Because Gods word (Jesus Christ) will be glorified again and again. Gods Word is for the believers comfort, peace and is unmistakable the way in which God has chosen to communicate with every individual believer. We are Gods children and will all be taught of God himself. Error can creep into any church where the Word of God is not confirmed by its believing congregation with signs and wonders of the truth of Gods Word. By trusting in the Word of God you will receive eternal life because it is the living water and life eternal you receive. When it flows out of the believing heart like a river, Gods Word Jesus speaks life to the lost with a great light in total darkness. Amos 8:11 God is the same today as he was in times past. To cling to the only voice that promises life more abundant is a choice. To choose to turn off the other voices that continually speak of nothing but death, half truths that lead to death, is not much of a thought on how not to obtain peace. God’s word gives peace and life and whoever has the son has life. But again it is a choice to choose the only one who gives life. The more darkness that is allowed, the more of a thirst for Gods light will grow. The people who hear the Holy Spirits call are the ones who spend time with God. A hardness of heart is coming to the ones who say they believe, but have no time for God and His Son Jesus. One day the believing or so called, will be dull of hearing Gods voice His call due to the world and its chaos, confusion, and death that the world’s spirits proclaim. Those who hear God are those who have a relationship with God. They are those who now spend time with Him in relationship. One day it will be very hard to establish a relationship with our merciful God. Why? Because of a polluted cup of an ungodly worldly knowledge, and the continual desires of the want of more pleasure for man. Those sensitive to The Holy Spirits leading will be given more, and to others who have not tried to seek the Lord, their portion will be taken away being given to those who do. They then will become overcome, blind, deaf, and bald starving for a Holy God not knowing real truth and completely doomed. Mt. 7:21-23 Workers of lawlessness. Blessings Steven 7-14-2009Lightning and the Perfect Storm There isn’t a day that goes by that I haven’t learned something from someone or from an experience I’ve had. To date, a lot has happed in my life and the exchange of thoughts on a reflective past can help me sometimes see where I’ve been and where I’m going. When we were awoken from a life of work and play, enjoying the freedoms we all take for granted. I didn’t see nor was aware of what was talking place in the much bigger picture with what has now happened to our Country. A friend shook me from my slumber of a blissful life of ignorance, and I awoke to what was it seamed a storm appearing on the horizon. I was raised in the Mid West where storms are common in the spring, and all through out the year. Sometimes at night you can sit outside and watch as the storm fronts move in. Sometimes on a dark night the skies will light up with a light show from the approaching storms. This last 4th of July was just such a night. The lightning could be seen from a line of thunderstorms that was moving in from the southwest as they always do. I have been in all kinds of storms from the east coast to the west coast, from Canada to Mexico, and all have something that is common, lightning. Lightning with beautiful flashes of light that you can see in the sky. It is common when ever there is a storm and the technical explanation for it is a discharge in the atmosphere of electricity in the clouds or between clouds to the ground, usually occurring during a thunderstorm always very fast and often very sudden. It doesn’t really tell you though how it captures you as you watch the exchange of light and dark explode with bolts dancing and singing with thunder, especially on a warm summer night. The fronts move in, and sometimes with strong winds, rain, snow, sleet, or even hail, but then it passes over and the storm is gone leaving a peaceful and calm prevailing even after a perfect storm. I don’t know what the future will bring, but I do know what has happened in the past with family, friends, and those we all respect and love. Together we will be here, and together weather the storms coming God willing, and He is, because He loves us. Thank you Lord. Blessings Steven7-14-2009SPIRIT AND MIND RENEWED DAILY To hear any new idea one must be willing to shed some old assumptions. A good joke has that quality of being able to challenge our ordinary perceptions of reality. As we try to make sense out of life or a given scene, we tend to fill in the details with facts based upon our prior experiences. Some of that old baggage may actually run interference with the ability to understand the new. Then we are surprised. Our conceptual boxes are suddenly burst, our paradigms shattered, and in need of adjustment. We are now ready to learn.A farmer came to the big city to be fitted for his first suit so he could be in fashion step at a family wedding. He came to a tailor with a fine reputation who took careful note of the man’s measurements and specifications before selecting a worthy bolt of cloth. The farmer returned on the day of the big family event to pick up his new custom made suit. The tailor confidently handed it to him and pointed him to the dressing room. The poor farmer could hardly squeeze his first leg in the trousers and then only with great effort again his second leg. He was ready to shout out with frustration when he found himself completely distorting his body only able to clasp to the floor with the suit pants still not zipped up. The jacket was equally a disaster. Hardly able to breath, the farmer shouted gruffly to the tailor, “What did you do to me? I have nothing to wear to the wedding tonight! You have ruined me!” Alarmed at first, the tailor took a good look, chuckled, and replied, “Foolish farmer! Before you try on a new suit you must first remove your over-alls!” The best one might do to adjust to the new is to be ready to shed any old and inapplicable assumptions of the past. Then, with the old coat of paint removed, one is more mentally and emotionally available for a new coat, with a fresh look- at life. Ep. 4:23 And you must let your spirits and minds keep being renewed, and cloth yourselves with the new nature created Godly, which expresses itself in the righteousness and holiness that flows from the truth. Ep. 5:8-16For you used to be darkness; but now, united with the Lord, you are Light. Live like children of light, for the fruit of the light is in every kind of goodness, righteousness and truth. Try to determine what will please the Lord. Have nothing to do with the deeds produced by darkness, but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of the things these people do in secret. But everything exposed to the light is revealed clearly for what it is, since anything revealed is a light. This is why it says, “Get up sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you! Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life, live wisely, not unwisely. Use your time well, for these are evil days. Love Steven7-13-2009SANCTIFICATION 2 Tim. 3:5 He. 6:1-2 Therefore, leaving behind the initial lessons about the messiah, let us go on to maturity. Growing up is a choice 2 Co. 5:17 we are to grow up in Christ Jesus. Ep. 4:15 A maturing is expected. A conforming to the image of the Son of man. Ro. 8:29 Transformed and renewed perfected to the will of the Father. Ro. 12:2 A process has begun in the believer to bring him onward and upward into the high calling of God in Christ. Phil. 3:14 There is only one way to come into this upward calling and that’s through the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire. There are three baptisms you can choose to be a part of or none of them. He. 6:1-2 Look at the doctrine of baptisms in the scripture. Why plural? (Note plural on baptisms) Baptism in water We are baptized in water which is our first obedience having come to Christ in faith. 1 Co. 10:2 The laver for cleansing in the outer court represents this baptism (washing) upon redemption. The first thing a new believer must do. Ac. 2:38 Ac. 22:16 Any believer can baptize another believer in water. It represents our baptism into Jesus, into His death, burial, and resurrection. Ro. 6:4 Baptism in the Holy Spirit. This second baptism, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, can only be done by Jesus Himself. Mt. 3:11 The first occurred on the day of Pentecost as described in Ac. 2 The promise of the Father would be a baptism (immersed) in the Holy Ghost. Ac. 1:4-5, 8 The Holy Spirit is given for the explicit purpose of giving us the power of His Lordship. Unless a change is transpiring within the soul of man, and he’s being brought to perfection, to holiness from within, he will not see the Lord. Those who refuse this baptism are among those who have a form of godliness, but deny the power there of. 2 Tim. 3:5 Baptism of suffering. Mt. 20:20-23 Are we able to drink from Jesus cup? Are we willing to overcome at a price of, “they loved not their live unto death?” Rev. 12:11 Jesus warns Peter in Lu. 22:31-34 We need to pray for each other that our faith does not fail. Jesus restored Peter Jn. 21:15-19 asking him a question about his love toward Him. Yes, Yes, and Yes each time Jesus restored what was stolen and gave Peter a direction to follow Jesus unto death. Jesus learned by the things which He suffered. He. 5:8 Ph. 2:8 We are being brought to this same obedience, to servant hood, to son ship through the things we suffer, through our participation in His suffering. Peter did not go through the Lords baptism in his own time or strength it was only in God’s. Blessings Steven7-13-2009 SILVER PLATED CHRISTIANS Many years ago, when silver was silver, there was a simple way to determine if a silver dollars was genuine. The genuine silver dollar when throw down, if you listened to the sound it made when it hit the ground it had a distinct ring to it. I trucked to San Francisco California from the Mid West regularly in the 70’s and on occasion would stop off in Reno, Nevada to try the silver dollar slot machines. I did win sometimes and the silver dollars that poured out were not always real, they were look a likes that were silver plated tin. If a coin was an imitation and merely silver plated though it might look genuine in appearance it made a dull thud when it hit the ground. By contrast the real silver dollar rang true because it was silver, not just on the outside, but all the way through. The imitations may have had real silver on the surface, but they were worthless. In my travels across the United States I have been to every State except Alaska and Hawaii. Sadly there are many “silver plated Christians” in the church today. There is a layer of real truth on the surface of their lives, and they sound very scriptural, but the true state of a man is revealed when he hits the ground. The trials of our faith bring out the perfection and patience to trust in God. What happens when Christians are thrown down or thrust into unexpected situations, adversity, or temptation? How do we respond when there is no time to compose a religious phrase or face? Does our life ring true at home, at work, or when we are alone and no one sees or hears us? Ps. 51:6 David said to God “You desire truth in the inner most parts.” He understood at that moment what John expressed long after: God’s greatest joy is reserved for his children who walk in truth. How’s the truth business? 2 Sam 12:5-6 David’s deception of truth in the inner man was a result of later writing the 51 Psalm as he makes known the profound painful revelation of his own innermost parts. You know the story as Nathan the prophet confronts David with his sin by saying thou art the man. 2 Sam. 12:7 David had been terrible unjust, yet his sin did not prevent him from discerning and responding with great indignation towards injustice of the rich man in Nathans story. David was a man passionately committed to justice, while at the same time he himself was being unjust. We can be fervent men of truth outwardly, while inwardly living a lie about ourselves and not know it. When Nathan said, Thou art the man; David saw the breach between the inner and otter man revealed. He saw an unjust heart in the midst of a burning zeal for justice. That is what made his repentance so profound and complete. To walk in truth, is to walk in and by the “Spirit of Truth.” Walking in the Spirit will mean speaking and thinking truly, never in opposition to our heart, but rather as expressions and manifestations of our heart. That is what it means to walk in the Truth of the Spirit. 1 Thes. 1:5 To walk in God is to walk in truth, and others will experience Him in us only to the degree that we are actually walking in Him and when thrown down we will ring true the kingdom truth. Blessings Steven7-12-2009Strong Delusions Strong delusions will come, (2 Thes. 2:11) and I guess they are here. You know we will have to protect ourselves and families from these potato heads when it’s all said and done. Why? Because in their strong delusional minds, we are to them, the problem. My blood type for those who don’t know me, is B+, and it is how I am. Ready to help when called upon and to encourage when and where I can. You just have to wonder what goes through the minds of the unregenerated. I can not imagine something so angry, lost and frustrated. Happiness was invented by God, and they will have none of it. Love, family, Country, peace, and wisdom again ordained of God. Everything good God created for mans benefit, and that is not even on their radar scope or even on the horizon. They are so angry, bitter, and so unhappy with themselves with a victim mentality that it drives them to hate God. The flames of hatred that are coming up on the internet are very real and growing. I’ve not seen it like this ever before and I know the strong delusions are here... God help us, keep us, and protect us for what is coming next. Love Steven
7-12-2009MOVING FORWARD IN ONE DIRECTION ONE IN CHRISTSometimes you don’t know how far you’ve come until you look back at some point to know where you have been. History repeats itself time and again, and there’s nothing new under the sun. Ecc. 1:9-10 2 Pe. 3:13 Gods promise of a new heaven and earth where righteousness dwells it will come. Rev. 21:1 Prediction of a new heaven and earth with no sea. Not long ago in Houston, Texas a church was undergoing a major problem. The city gave them notice that the church would have to be moved for the greater good of Houston. This was because of the expansion of interstate 10 in connection with the cities loop interstate 610. The church was Spring Branch Church of the Nazarene whose pastor was Bill Coulter. 713-468-1895 The church prayed about the uprooting for they had no real place to relocate. Matt. 16:18-19 God is still in control of His church and its growth. Sometimes you have to move forward or be left behind and that’s the way it is with the Holy Spirit of our living God. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than mans and He always knows what’s best for His church. Matt. 6:1-4 The greater lesson is in the unseen world and the unseen God we serve. I sometimes really believe that our Lord acts at the last minute most of the time to test us and see how much faith his church really has. God seems to make the unseen in man responsive to the unseen in God and this brings His unseen self into harmony with the whole realm of the invisible. To illustrate this thinking take a harp and the Harper in harmony playing. It’s not the beauty of the instrument or the dress or appearance of the player, but the music evolved by his touch; and the melody and harmony are the inexplicable mysteries of obedience to unseen forces. These are imagination, memory, love, hope, faith, conscience, sensibility, all find expression in music which is their creation, and all these are unseen faculties and attributes. I know this to be true as I play a musical instrument. The soul of the harper must create the harmony. Like the example of the almsgiver, the almsgiving is music to God’s ear when it is the outgoing expression of the unseen spirit in man, which is in accord with God Himself, anything less of a response is not the best in us nor the best in Him; any lower motive spoils and degrades the pure act of giving as does a mere mercenary motive debases the musician’s art. Unlike our church change in location theirs was unplanned. Some of the events that have taken place with this church are its name was changed to Living Word Church of the Nazarene and a new pastor Scott Rayne was installed and now preaches at a new location on Clay Road and Highway 6 in Houston. When I attended that Sunday before all this took place I asked God to show me what was to happen and He told me nothing to be helpful to the then current pastor only that I had a great peace for this church and knew all would work out to Gods glory and to the churches greater good. BlessingsSteven7-12-2009THE WAR BETWEEN GOOD AND EVILRev. 12:7-11 During the Civil War with the States the president of America at that time was Abraham Lincoln, who had a problem. The war with the Southern States had come to a complete stagnation. In charge of the Northern Army was General George B. McClellan. George was a great little organizer, but he had trouble knowing when to fight, and indecision can be a virus that can run through an army and destroy its will to fight, and to ultimately win. Lincoln brought in a hard headed Yankee named General Grant whom He put in tactical command. Grant was not afflicted with the virus, nor was he afraid to fight; He just pointed his battalions in the right direction, (towards the enemy), and shoved off. Grant was as history shows, instrumental in the victory over the Southern States. History now shows that if the South would have won the Civil War then the Southern States would now be divided from the North. The United States of America would not be the United States of today. Division and indecision can destroy an army’s will to fight, and win. Has the Church of Jesus Christ been divided in the holy wars, and is she now so well organized that it doesn’t know there’s a war raging around them? History is important to remember and what’s been given in the ancient accounts of Gods Word is the very Christian guide to victory. Evangelism is the front line in the war with our adversary. You have to see where you have been in order to follow the tactical commander into battle for tomorrow. Paul doesn’t say to forget what God’s done in the past, but to press forward in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:11-16 Don’t look back to the mistakes made, but press forward in the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. The call to Gods anointed Word is to follow the tactical commander in the war with our enemy listening to The Holy Spirit that Jesus himself gives. If you don’t have the Holy Spirit then ask Jesus to anoint you, and baptizing you with God’s Holy Spirit. Ac. 2:2-4 Lu. 14:25-35 What a high cost to be a disciple of Christ, to put Him first in all things. Ro. 9:13 There is an inheritance to be sought after in Christ. Mal. 1:2-3 Esau sold his birth right to Jacob for the food of the day. (Mark of the beast.) Mt. 10:37-42 We as Christians must be worthy of Christ in giving out God’s living water of life, and following Jesus command of making disciples. Lu. 9:62 We can’t look back to the mistakes we all have made, but we can plough in hope and plant God’s good Holy Seed expecting a harvest. We’ve received a measure of faith but God will always bring the increase for His children to bear godly fruit in due time and in His Holy name. Blessings Steven7-12-2009POWER AND LOVE BY GODS GRACEThere is a song with the words; six days on the road, and I’m going to make home tonight. If you drive a truck for a living, you know that it’s always the goal to make it home bringing the prize. Jesus left His heavenly home to do a heavenly work that only He alone could do. It was the sixth day before his execution on the cross for mans sins. John chapter 12 verses 1-8 and Mt. 26:6-13 only gives us a glimpse on a perspective from the outside of what happened that night with Jesus. Ever wonder what was going through Jesus mind as they all sat together that night. Jesus knew all things, how he would have to face the cross, and to finish the work of God’s plan for mans eternity before He could go home. We can ask Jesus when we see him face to face, but somehow I think we might be too scared to. I believe He would say that it was Gods love for man that I came, For God so loved the world that he gave His only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life. So all that would happen on the seventh day God knew of the high cost of that sacrifice, and because of Gods love it would all be worth it. What is man that God is so mindful of him? Jesus blood shed washes away all the stain of the sins that man might be made whole again. What is love? Jesus is. Thank you my Lord. Love Steven.7-12-2009 THE WAY TO GOD IS A WAY OF HOLINESS. ISAIAH 35:8-10 God will release His mighty power to those who know His truth, and past history. By history I mean the reason why Jesus came the first time. Armed with this knowledge any Christian is meat for the Masters Use, and part of a much bigger picture. Mt. 13:31-32 No angel of Gods will make his abode in a bush of unbelief of what I’m telling you. The tree must be a strong tree however, (Mt. 7:17 Mt. 13:8 Mt. 21:21) in order to work the miracles that will glorify God. We are spiritual trees, (Jn. 9:32 Mk. 8:24) with roots reaching deep in the good ground (Mt. 13:8) of the soil of the kingdom of God. (Mt. 17:20-21) Miracles signs and wonders will be worked when everything breaks down, but don’t despair the Creator will be there to make a way where there is no way. What we see in the natural is in the Spirit, our finest hour. (Mt. 16:16-17) HISTORY: The Red Sea parted, rocks flowed with water, and manna came from nothing, it will happen again for the people of God. God is faithful. (Acts 6:5-8) Faith in Gods truth and being filled with Gods Spirit is the holy power to overcome any of mans, or the devils plan. God has made everything you see, and you would have to be completely looney to think that anyone or thing could overcome God. Israel and all of Gods people will overcome by the words of truth and that is to testify of the greatness of Gods word. King David knew his God and did mighty exploits. Why do some Christians think God has changed? The word of God says that the world will be given over to strong delusions and it has come to pass. Liberals are so looney without anything to show them any truthful way. We I believe will have a little more of this madness, and it will change to our betterment. We must not waver on truth and be strong with great courage in the face of what is coming. It will be there for us as well as Israel. It’s going to get ugly, but God is with us who could be against us. God will not give us more than we can take without supplying all of our needs through Christ who will strengthen us for such a time as this. Iron sharpens Iron and we need each other so when one stumbles the other can pick them up. Acknowledge God daily in prayer. (Lu.11:2-4) God bless you and yours. I’m still here and so are you and it should be a great ride to the glory of God. Steven.7-12-2009Reality is Perception
By Rabbi Yedidiah ShapiraRepost:
From Understanding Heart Blogspot January 30th 2009Parshat Bo: Moses is told “This renewal (of the moon) is the first of renewals (of the moons)”. With these words the Jewish people were given their calendar, one using lunar months but faithful to the seasonal cycle of the solar year. Unlike the solar year, where nature undergoes fundamental changes throughout the cycle, the lunar cycle engenders no changes to the moon or indeed, the earth. The only substantial change is our perception of the moon –how much of it we, on Earth, can see. This tells us something powerful: Count, live, according to the Moon, to your perception as articulated in the Torah. What is ultimately important is not raw existence- but how we perceive it, how we use it, how we elevate it. We perceive the Brightness of the Moon -e.g. the G-dly presence and potential in using the world for the positive things we are asked to do. We perceive the Darkness- the negativity of relating to the world in way we are asked not to it. It is this perception that we choose; this perception is the true purpose and reality of the Cosmos, far more real that anything that we might at first glance consider concrete and immutable. THE MOON
7-12-2009 God’s people are a reflection of Jesus. As the moon has light only reflected from the Sun all those who love God and His only begotten Son Jesus will reflect this holy light. Like the moon, a Christian will have phases and not always shed the light that is given. I believe grace is given in this manner. There is a time and season and the grace is given in a season of THE LORDS WILL to do the work of God. Anyone can tell you that God's work is supernatural and can’t really be explained well. Miracles happen in this realm and the unexplained is common as far as what man can perceive. Why because as the moon is a reflection of the sun we too are only as we are by Gods grace. Vessels of honor to be filled at the masters will, with light to illuminate in times of stress and pain. I believe that Stephen from the stoning in the book of Acts as well as the Apostles to witness Gods plan were given this enabling grace. Acts 4:33 Stephen gave a history lesson to the Liberals of his day and was stoned for it as Paul held his coat. Liberals of today are no different they too have no tollerance for the truth and will kill if they have to only allow what they perceive as truth. However truth will always surface prevailing. Ps. 136:8 The Suns light rules by day and the reflected light from the sun rules by night. Gen. 1:16 This will change and God will be the only light we will follow. Song 6:10 God will have His bride hot and flying banners in her fight against evil. Isa. 60:19 God will be the only light we will need and rely on. Trust Him. Jer. 31:35 God gives light to Israel Mal. 4:2 Jesus will be our Sun and we His reflection. Mt. 5:45 We have a natural Sun and a brighter Son. 1 Co. 15:40-50 We are not earthly and have another home. Rev. 10:1 The Sun is coming. Mt. 17:1-4 Moses is coming and Elias before Jesus returns. Rev. 21:23 When Jesus comes there will not be any need for the sun. His light will be brighter than any sun. Rev. 22:11-12 JudgmentGod will never give his children more than they can handle, and He will always make a way of escape. The time before Lords return will be a time of mighty sign and wonders. I can't wait how about you? God can make things happen and can protect even up until the last trump with a complete change in a twinkling of an eye. Come, Oh Come my God. Love Steven7-11-2009 WISDOM OF GOD Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 verses 10-12 Don’t ask why the old days were better than now, because that is a foolish question. Wisdom is good, along with possessions, an advantage to all who see the sun. For wisdom is a shelter, and money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is wisdom keeps the one who has it alive. Look at our time and see what is trying to take the shelters away and the reason behind it. (GREED, THE LOVE OF MONEY, A GREAT EVIL) Many were hurt in the financial collapse of the financial implode of all investments for those who saved for retirement. Many who worked all their lives for a shelter of money to rely on in old age taken away and replaced with fear and doubt in a future of uncertainty? Demonic and unnatural conditions caused it I believe. Over the past few years starting from The Global Crossing failure in California to the now bailout of money given for nothing, we have seen the greatest transfer of wealth the world has ever seen and it is unnatural to believe something is not behind it all. An educated man knows the Bible. However too many have kept it on a shelf or in a closet since inheriting it from their parents or grand parents. Mathew chapter 11 verse 19, The proof of wisdom is in the action it produces. (Hebrew translation) To be like a child when approaching the mind of God, (Those who study the Bible), is to possess great wisdom, and to know how to apply Gods truths in the knowledge of life that is to obtain great advantage. Mathew Chapter 13 verse 24-30 We have countless examples of illustrations on how the enemy works and how God always delivers His plan wisely to those who can discern how He works. The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while people were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat then went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads of grain, the weeds also sprouted. The owner’s servants came to him and said, Sir didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from? He answered, an enemy has done this; The servants asked him; Then do you want us to go and pull them up? But he said, No, because if you pull up the weeds, you might uproot some of the wheat at the same time. Let them both grow together until harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers to collect the weeds first and tie them in bundles to be burned, but to gather the wheat into my barn. John Chapter 12 verses 23-26 It’s harvest time I believe. My own thoughts: It makes me wonder, if, God in his sovereignty, is setting up the whole world for the most amazing fruitful evangelistic movement the world has ever seen. Perhaps he is preparing the road for those willing to die for Jesus, thus awakening a massive turn away from the violent message of fundamentalist Muslims towards the gracious non retaliatory message of Jesus. However time will tell. Everyone is appointed to die once and then eternity. ONE WORLD RELIGION ON THE SCENE Vatican: Islam Surpasses Roman Catholicism as World's Largest Religion Sunday, March 30, 2008 if (subsection_id == 428) { document.write(' '); } FOXNEWS.COM HOME > WORLD VATICAN CITY — Islam has surpassed Roman Catholicism as the world's largest religion, the Vatican newspaper said Sunday. "For the first time in history, we are no longer at the top: Muslims have overtaken us," Monsignor Vittorio Formenti said in an interview with the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano. Formenti compiles the Vatican's yearbook. He said that Catholics accounted for 17.4 percent of the world population -- a stable percentage -- while Muslims were at 19.2 percent. "It is true that while Muslim families, as is well known, continue to make a lot of children, Christian ones on the contrary tend to have fewer and fewer," the monsignor said. Formenti said that the data refer to 2006. The figures on Muslims were put together by Muslim countries and then provided to the United Nations, he said, adding that the Vatican could only vouch for its own data. When considering all Christians and not just Catholics, Christians make up 33 percent of the world population, Formenti said. Spokesmen for the Vatican and the United Nations did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment Sunday. Last year you made $349,000.00 dollars with bonus and stock options with this company of another $100,000.00 bringing in a grand total of $449,000.00 in personnel income. The owner and Chairman of the board spotted you some forty years back. Observing your commitment and concern during a totally different mission, he picked you to steer his fledgling group of workers into a major force in the corporate world. During your forty year tenure with the firm, you fulfilled every one of your boss's wishes with honesty and skill. You cared for the corporation and every one of its employees as if they were your offspring. The Chairman, who supplied every one of the company's needs, financial, moral, physical, and spiritual, commended you as the greatest individual that the would ever lead the corporation. But before you get to lead the company into a new phase of operation, the boss says it is time to retire. So far so good. But then in a parting request you come into your boss's office and begin to lecture him on the qualifications of a successor. You tell him to make sure that the next corporate officer has the qualities of leadership that will be able to bring the corporation into the next millennium. Then you add the kicker. After all, you tell the boss, "You don't want to leave the company like sheep without a leader." In simple terms, it sounds like there is a word that defines the move -- chutzpah. Though it may not be a perfect parable, it seems like Moshe (Mosses) did just that. After he realizes that he will not lead the Jewish people into the Land of Canaan he approaches Hashem (GOD) with a request. "May Hashem the Lord of all spirits appoint a man over the assembly, who shall take them out and bring them in and let them not be like sheep that have no shepherd" (Number 27:15-18). The question is simple. How does Moshe have the gall to tell the Master of the Universe, He who breathes life into the centipede while splitting the sea and delivering manna, the qualifications of the next leader? Out of the multitudes of earthlings that are on the planet, does the Lord Need guidance in appointing a new leader of the Jewish people? "We should declare a communal fast led by the Magi -- surely our united prayers will evoke Heavenly compassion!" But Mosses quietly assured his disciple of an amazing secret. "Soon I will be departing this world. There is no need to gather the community and have them deprive their weak bodies of food. I will personally approach the heavenly throne and plead for mercy from the Almighty." Sure enough, two weeks later the Mezhritzer Maggid passed from this world. The week of Shiva passed, but the decrees were not annulled. The thirty period of morning passed as well, and still no change. The conscriptions were as ferocious as ever. Elimelech became frustrated. Didn't the teacher promise salvation? Desperate for an answer, he went to the prophets grave and asked him why the decrees were not abolished. That night the teacher appeared to his disciple and revealed to him the reason that nothing had occurred. "On earth there is one view -- one that I shared with you. Like you, I also saw the decree as a most terrible event befalling our nation. But here in Heaven I see a different picture. Now I understand everything from an entirely different perspective. And frankly, the view from above is not as bleak as the view from below. In fact, I don't even see the decree as a curse. I cannot pray to annul the decree. At this point, your only salvation is to ask an earthly teacher to help you. Only a human leader can feel the mortal pain as you and the community feels it. Only someone who sees life from your perspective can pray on your behalf." Moshe (Moses) knew that Hashem (GOD) can choose whomever He wants. But he felt it was his obligation to beseech the Almighty to continue his particular legacy and direction in leading the people. Moshe wanted the appointment based on his opinion of what the Jewish nation needs, not based on a Divine choice. A ruler with the attribute of pure justice may have been harsher on the people. He would not respond to each complaint by beseeching the Almighty for a miraculous solution. The sweetened waters of Marah, the deliverance of quail, the splitting of the sea, the victories over Amalek, and the healing of Miriam were all preceded by a common denominator Moshe's intervention. A different leader with a different personality may have chosen a different direction. And an immortal leader may have not felt the despair of the people. Moshe created a destiny for his people based on his humility and understanding of the plight of his fellow Jews. And he wanted a shepherd like himself to care for his sheep even if it meant attempting to cajole his Creator with a very human philosophy. Are we like Mosses trying to turn the will of God to our own desires and advantage not looking at the bigger picture? Man has a will, but being born from above is married to the divine with a will for life as the bride of Christ. Think about it. Steven7-10-2009The Cross of the Crisis, Love, and Persecution Grows Faith We are at a crossroads of the time when we will step off into an unknown, something that has long awaited a loving God. Man one with his Creator. We have been given a map to guide, a teacher to instruct and all who love and hold God dear will know. Let us not forget who created it all, and can recreate as He wills even better. He allowed America to come into existence for a purpose and in time we will all understand how great a purpose America is fulfilling in her destiny in this time. We don't understand anything about a King, but soon we will have one. He will have His sovereign subjects, and my hope is that I will only be worthy enough. I also tell you we all look through the same glass that is only a shadow of what will soon come to pass, because Gods ways are much higher than mans. A sovereign Nation is a gift of God, and if we keep ours it will be by joining with His divine order of life, and divine plan for life here and for eternity. The fight is in the heavenly realm, it will be won by the one who sits at Gods right hand, JESUS. All Glory to God now and forever. Steven7-10-2009Deliver us from Evil I was shopping in Sam’s Club yesterday, and while walking through I noticed the tables displaying the Harry Potter books and videos. If you want to be entertained learning what “Eye of Knut” to use in casting your spell, I guess it would entertain you, and pass the time. Words do carry great weight and command powers. However; Jesus gave us a powerful prayer designed to protect those who love God. It is Know as “The Lords Prayer”. Excerpt; “Forgive us our sins as we forgive others who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil.” That’s the part that I like; to be delivered from Evil. Evil is darkness with no light. It is growing darker now, but we are the light that should burn brighter than the darkness. Are you that light? Or have the dark forces overcome your heart, and now it’s grown cold. We can choose and have been given a choice. 10,000 years from now we will talk about all this again. The book of Acts continues to the glory of God. Keep a focus on eternity and make your stronghold truth and with God overcome darkness. Live in the now of Gods kingdom and the one to come with the Lord. NOTE: P. S. No angel of God will ever make his abode in a bush of unbelief, but make it in a mighty mustard tree. StevenBig things come in small packages 7-10-2009 When God changed Abraham’s name, He added a letter that wasn’t there before, a Heh, transforming his name from “Abram” to “Abraham,” a very significant change. Likewise, when God changed the name of his wife, Sarai, to Sarah, the letter Yud was removed and replaced with another letter, also a Heh. And, as the Midrash explains, when Moshe Rabbeinu changed Hoshea’s name to Yehoshua ( Joshua ) in advance of the mission to spy the land, it was the “leftover” Yud was from Sarai’s name that was added to make the transformation. Genesis 17:5 In each case, the change of name was quite noticeable, especially the one from Ya’akov (Jacob) to Yisroel (Israel). However, when Pinchas “Numbers 25:10 30:1 (29:40)” received his Yud, nothing really changed at all, at least far as the name was concerned. It was still pronounced the same way, because the Yud had always been there, phonetically-speaking. It had been audible, though not visible, and as a result of Pinchas’ heroic act of zealousness, it became revealed as well, and that is extremely significant. If ever the expression, “good things come in small packages” applied, it is to the letter Yud, the smallest letter in the Aleph-Bais, and the only one not to be a composite of other letters (for example, an Aleph is comprised of two Yuds and a Vav). And, apparently, the one letter that represents the soul of a person, as the Bible seems to indicate: The Holy One, Blessed is He, created two worlds, one with a Heh and one with a Yud. I do not know if the World-to-Come was created with a Yud and this world with a Heh, or if this world was with a Yud and the World-to-Come was with a Heh. However, it says, “These are the generations of Heaven and Earth in the creating of them (behibar-am) …” (Genesis 2:4); don't read “behibar’am” (i.e., in the creating of them) but “b’HEH bar’am” (i.e., with a Heh they were created). Thus we see that this world was created with a Heh, and the World-to-Come was created with a Yud. Hence, we learn, the letter Yud represents the eternal reality of the World-to-Come. Indeed, explains the Maharal, it is precisely the simplicity of the Yud that makes it so fitting a symbol of the sublime world of Divine unity, Hence, Yud represents the number 10, the number of Divine perfection, and the number of sefiros in any complete spiritual reality, called a partzuf. Therefore, the Yud represents the essence of which we are, the spiritual force that makes each and every one of us unique, and which drives us to accomplish in life. The more meaningful our accomplishments are, the more of the Yud within us we reveal, and by definition, that results in a greater portion in the World-to-Come. What Pinchas did that fateful day through his act of zealousness, we are all trying to do, each of us in our own way, each of us on our own level, whether a Yud becomes visible in our name as a result, or not. The entire point of Torah and mitzvos (way to live your life) is to do that which causes our own personal Yud to emerge, bringing more completion and Godliness to our being. We can’t help but become better, more dignified, more spiritually-complete individuals. Hence, when Pinchas emerged from his act of zealousness, having revealed the Yud from within the depths of his being, and therefore, from within his “depths” of his name as well, he became a kohen (a priest), 1 Peter 2:8-10 not as a reward, but as a consequence of his enhanced state of holiness. In fact, this is what it means to be a kohen, as their holy and set-apart Temple lifestyle indicated: To live on the plane of the next world while still functioning in this world; to live on the level of the Yud. However, when one draws more of the spiritual reality of the Yud into the physical reality of the body, just as Pinchas’ physical name was enhanced, so too is one’s body enhanced. The body cannot help but become more spiritual as well, and an even better kli — vessel — for the soul, the reality of Yud in this world. Consequently, not only did Pinchas become a kohen, but he morphed into a different person altogether, one of the greatest prophets to ever live: Thus we find that four levels were in Pinchas. The first was that of the Nefesh of Pinchas with which he was born, a single soul even though it was the combination of two drops, one from Joseph and one from Yisro. Mt. 1:5 The second level was the Nefesh of Nadav and Avihu, which came b’sod ibur and was also called “one soul,” as is known from the Zohar: Nadav and Avihu were two limbs of one body (Acharei Mos 57b). The third was a Nefesh called “Eliyahu HaTishbi” from the root of Gad, and the fourth level was “Eliyahu” from the root of Binyomin. (Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Ch. 32) This is why, you may have noticed, that Elijah’s parents are never mentioned anywhere: Mal. 3:23 4:5 he had none. Rather, his soul, both of them, descended from Heaven and entered the body of Pinchas as a result of his act of zealousness, and this transformed him into Eliyahu HaNavi. Though Pinchas seems to disappear from history after the Torah comes to a close, the truth is, he remained quite alive and quite well, until he finally ascended to Heaven during Achav’s time on a fiery chariot, a very dramatic end for a very dramatic life. He went from earth to Heaven without having to pass through death. However, for a brief period, Pinchas-Eliyahu, faltered. For a brief period of time, the Yud of Pinchas did not remain revealed, at least not as much as it had previously: Later in history, when the incident of the daughter of Yiftach HaGiladi occurred, they (Eliyahu and Yiftach) were both punished. For, as Chazal say, Yiftach was a judge and he did not want to come to Elijah to cancel his vow, and, Elijah did not want to come to him, for he said, “The one who is suffering must come to the doctor” and thus between the two of them the daughter of Yiftach went. Yiftach, who was directly involved in the incident was punished, and as a result everywhere he went he lost limbs, as it says, “They buried him in the cities of Gilad” (Judges 12:7) — in the plural. Eliyahu was punished by the departure of the Shechinah. “And Pinchas the son Elazar had been the supervisor over them in former times, for God was with him which is talking about Pinchas. Thus, it seems, that he had been the “supervisor” over them, but no longer. However, the story has a happy ending, with a bit of history and some soul-travel in-between: When prophecy returned to him it was after he was called “Eliyahu HaTishbi,” and after Samuel had died so that Nadav and Avihu could return to him during the incident of Mt. Carmel. (Ibid.) Ever since then, Eliyahu HaNavi has made guests appearances throughout history, attending each bris, and house-hopping Leil Seder. And, on some occasions, he returns in the guise of a person to test us, to work some kind of miracle on behalf of some worthy person, or in a story like this one: Rebi Yehoshua ben Levi met Eliyahu standing at the entrance of the cave of Rebi Shimon bar Yochai and asked him … “When will Moshiach appear?” He answered, “Go and ask Moshiach himself.” “But where can he be found?” “At the gate of Rome.” “And by what sign [can I recognize him]?” “He is among the poor people afflicted with wounds. They open the bandages of all their wounds at one time, adjust and dress them. He opens, adjusts, and dresses one wound at time, for the reason that when he might be called there should be no delay.” I went to him, and said, “Peace be upon you, my master and teacher,” and he answered, “Peace be with you, Bar Levi.” I asked him, “When will the master appear?” He answered, “Today.” I then went back to Eliyahu and asked regarding all that Moshiach said, and told him that he said, “Peace be with you, Bar Levi.” Eliyahu then said, “I can assure you and your father a share in the World-to-Come.” “But he made a fool of me,” I told Eliyahu, “because he said that he would come today.” Eliyahu answered and said, “The expression ‘today’ means the same as it does in the verse, ‘Today, if you will listen to His voice’” (Psalms 95:7). For, that is his final job, at least on this side of history. It will be Eliyahu, once Pinchas, who will herald the arrival of Moshiach himself, as the Final Redemption unfolds. By allowing his Yud to surface, he became part of a different reality, of a different time period, even though he remained in ours. His reality was that of Yemos HaMoshiach and onward, and therefore, he will merit to usher in that period of time, which is much closer than most think. However, his final known role in the history of the Jewish people will be far more illustrious, as the Arizal explains: In the “End of Days” in the generation of Moshiach, Moshe will return to teach Torah to Israel and will still be of “uncircumcised lips.” However, Eliyahu, who will “chai” — live — will be his interpreter, and this is the sod of the verse, “Pinchas, the son of Elazar, the son of Aharon HaKohen” (Bamidbar 25:11). This is as it is written, “If [one is drawn] to scoffers, he will scoff” (Mishlei 4:37): when they will need a translator for Moshe, Eliyahu who will be “chai” will translate and be Moshe’s interpreter. (Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Ch. 36) In other words, on our side of history, it was Aharon HaKohen who had the great merit of being Moshe Rabbeinu’s interpreter. However, in Yemos HaMoshiach, when Moshe Rabbeinu (in the body of Moshiach Ben Dovid) will resume his role as teacher of all Israel once again, it will be “Pinchas, the son of Elazar, the son of Aharon HaKohen,” as Eliyahu HaNavi will assume the coveted role. As I said, when it comes to the letter Yud, big things truly come in small packages. Gods plans are perfect and all the t's will be crossed and the i's dotted and the end will have a period of perfection. Gods will trust it. Steven7-7-2009 IRAQ 1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq. 2. Babylon was a city in Iraq and you have probably seen this already, Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. Which nation is second? It's Iraq! However, that's not the name the Bible uses. The names the Bible uses are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.... The name Iraq means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and it’s a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated with it, than Iraq. The United States as a Country in Biblical history rates no higher than a footnote compared with these two nations, but we as a nation believe the universe revolves around us, our way, life, and thinking. Just a thought. Steven7-3-2009Edom answered them, “Do not pass through us or we will go to war with you!’ The Children of Israel answered him, “We will only take the highway. If either we or our cattle drink your water, then we will pay for it. Nothing will cause you harm; only our feet will we cross.” He answered, “You may not pass!” (Numbers 20:18-20) Some things just don’t make sense, and in the way that they don’t make sense, they teach you a lot about life. This episode with Edom is one of those cases. All the Jewish people wanted to do was cross over the land of Edom on their way to the land of Israel. They had no territorial acquisition plans, and Edom knew that. In fact, they were even prepared to spend some money along the way, in appreciation for access to their land, to help the local economy prosper, even though they did not require a single thing from the people of Edom. They would have been the perfect guests. Not surprising, the “brother” of Jacob said no, perhaps still harboring an ancient grudge going back to the time that Jacob took the blessings originally intended for Esau, their ancestor. However, given that they were now talking to a nation that had conquered Egypt, and then had the sea split for them, not to mention that the Shechinah itself traveled amongst the Jewish camp for all to see, refusing the advancing Jewish nation was kind of like throwing caution to the wind. But they did it anyhow, and they even threatened to go to war against the Jewish nation should they decide to ignore Edom’s reply by crossing their land anyways. Of the many traits for which Edom (other than Amalek) is known, national suicide is not one of them. What were they thinking? Did they really think that they could stand a chance of survival if war actually ensued? People do crazy things. I mean murder 6,000,000 Jews right before the eyes of the world, and in the cruelest ways possible? Did not Hitler, think for a second that at some point, his murderous activities would not catch up with him, one way or another? Even if he didn’t believe in God and the concept of a chosen people, with a special covenant between God and His people, what about the rest of mankind? Did he so not believe in their sense of conscience that he felt free to do whatever he wanted to the Jewish people? The Arab world is different, as was the Christian world before them. They get around those problems by deluding themselves into believing that, when they are converting or killing Jews, it is God’s will. In their minds, they are not warring against God when they kill His people; they are, in fact, fighting God’s war for Him. As far as they are concerned, God is, in fact, the one who is after the Jewish people, making them His emissaries to catch them for Him. Talk about self-delusion! However, the people of Edom were about as religious as Hitler’s national party. They had no delusions about rejecting access to their land on behalf of God, as opposed to against Him and His people. Therefore, the question returns: what in the world had they been thinking when they rejected the request of the advancing Jewish nation, which had to be out of spite, since it could only have benefited them to say yes? The truth is, they are not the first nation to which such a question can be addressed, and they have certainly not been the last. According to the people of Babble, in building their tower they had been even more brazen than Edom. By building their tower, (In a valley by the way not on top of a mountain.) they had planned to usurp power over Creation directly from God Himself (Shaaraim Leshem, p. 532). And, they knew what they were doing, sort of. It’s actually a long story, and somewhat deeper than the one portrayed by the Bible. The physical tower had been, in reality, a Kabalistic attempt to take control over the sefirah (pl. sefirot) is a channel of Divine energy or life-force. This most fundamental concept of Kabala is that in the process of creation an intermediate ..., The Jewish mystical doctrine known as "Kabbalah" (="Tradition") is distinguished by its theory of ten creative forces that intervene between the infinite, unknowable God ("Ein Sof") and our created world. Through these powers God created and rules the universe, and it is by influencing them that humans cause God to send to Earth forces of compassion (masculine, right side) or severe judgment (feminine, left side). (in the spiritual realm, that power runs this world. And, lest we think that they were simply off their Kabalistic rocker, let us not forget who it was who actually came down to observe, and befuddle the attempt: the Creator and Master of the Universe Himself! God. Genesis 11:1-9 This would imply that the builders of the tower were not only completely evil, as the Leshem explains, but they were geniuses as well; evil geniuses. They were completely evil because they were prepared to abuse Creation to suit their own purposes and desires. They were geniuses because it was their profound understanding of how Creation actually works that showed them a potential path to accomplish their goal, a Kabalistic loophole within Creation that God Himself came down to plug. People don’t like putting the two words together evil geniuses. (We now have a one world language again in the internet the language of 1 and 0 that can translate language into one.) We’d like to believe that geniuses cannot be evil, that by virtue of their very genius that they can only see truth, and overcome all their evil tendencies, if they have any at all. We’d like to believe that just by becoming very smart, we can learn to see reality as it is, and not be fooled by the more confusing aspects of Creation. We’d like to believe this so much that when it comes to evil geniuses, we tend to ignore their genius part, and simply accentuate their evil part, so that we can condemn them and make a separation between them and us. However by doing precisely that we accomplish just the opposite. We don’t separate ourselves from them, but rather, we make it possible to be more like them, albeit on a far more subtle level. By disregarding the possibility of evil and genius fitting together, we ourselves throw caution to the wind, and make possible the type of intellectual, emotional, and political errors that have dogged mankind for millennia. True Character with a heart for God. I believe it has to do with human character development. There are two sides to human beings, intellect and emotion. Though meant to work together, they often work against each other. And, though the intellect can be advanced by simply accumulating knowledge, the emotions develop based upon life’s experiences, our interpretation of them, and our processing of what we learn through them. As a result, the two processes do not necessarily, or even usually, develop in tandem. In other words, though technical education can consistently increase and expand one’s intellect, our life’s experiences can either do the same for our emotions, or stunt them, God forbid. Hence, whereas a healthy upbringing can result in an intellectually and emotionally developed individual, sterling citizens of any society, an unhealthy upbringing can result in just the opposite, producing a person that is either intellectually or emotionally underdeveloped, or both. Thus, we find, there are basically four categories of adults. There are those who are intellectually and emotionally mature: they make great spouses, great parents, great bosses, and great leaders. There are those who are intellectually and emotionally underdeveloped, and tragically, they usually have little to offer society, and society usually has little to offer them. They can be totally harmless, or totally harmful. Then, there are those who intellectually underdeveloped, but emotionally developed. They may not be smart people, but they are usually nice people, have integrity and are quite reliable. Being emotionally mature, they can sense that there is more to know in life, and will often pursue it, becoming more like the first group as a result. Then, there is the last group, the most manipulative and dangerous of all human beings: intellectually developed, but emotionally immature. Liberals. They are smart, and know a lot, except that, having the emotions of a child, they tend to use their knowledge in terms of getting what it is they want at any particular moment, with little or no regard for the consequences. All their knowledge is “filtered” through their emotions, which automatically distort it, and blinds them to the truth and inner meaning of what they know of themselves. Such people become the evil geniuses of history. They become the builders of towers that take advantage of Godly knowledge, to challenge God Himself. They are the Hitler’s of history, who know how to take advantage of peoples’ weaknesses and their own strengths, to manipulate the world according to their will. And, to their own self-destructive detriment, they end up becoming the victim of their own manipulation, which other people will put up with for only so long. It’s like watching a crime take place in a subway station. If there are few other people around, and the place is quiet, the noise that accompanies the vision penetrates us, makes us feel very uneasy, and more than likely, it pushes us to spring into action. It is hard to just look the other way when it is just you and the event occupying the same place, even if it is occurring at the far end of the platform. However, if the station is crowded and noisy, even though you can see what is happening just as clear as you could in the previous example, all of the noise that is now taking place at the same time somehow mitigates, in our minds, the seriousness of the situation. Not being able to hear clearly what our eyes are seeing somehow lessens the impact of what we know to be occurring, leaving us feeling less of a need to get involved. For evil geniuses, their emotions make so much noise that they can’t hear what their minds are saying. Indeed, their emotions tend to drown out their thoughts, or would-be thoughts, if the person merely took the time to consider the implications of their knowledge. Which of course they don’t, and won’t, allow them to develop into the evil geniuses that they eventually become. Eventually, their perception of reality becomes so distorted that they end up doing things that become the source of their own undoing. Look at the pressure being put on Israel to acquiesce to the demands of the Palestinian people and the Arab world it does not make sense, intellectually- speaking, they do make sense, to the Western world, emotionally- speaking. As the Arab world predicted, the Western world has neither the patience nor the stomach for Islamic radicalism, and therefore they are giving into Arab demands, at the cost of the security of the Jewish people, just to put an end to the Middle-East conflict in any way possible. There are people from that world who are calling out against this approach. They know and understand the risks of standing up on behalf of the State of Israel against the Arab world and its Western allies, but they do it anyhow, as a matter of principle, and of right and wrong. Being intellectually and emotionally mature, they see no other approach to a life that is based on integrity. President Obama and his men I suspect do not fit into this category. If you go back and review his campaign, and how he has acted since taking office, you can see a kid at heart, which for the rest of the kids-at-heart, is a very refreshing change in the White House if you want the most powerful nation on earth run by a kid. It is the reason why, amongst recent Presidents (other than Slick Willy Clinton), he acts the least presidential. For, the President of the United States of America is a world leader, and world leaders must be both intellectually and emotionally developed. President Obama may be very smart, but emotionally, he is showing signs of not quite being there. That is not good for the future of our nation. World leaders who lack emotional maturity can become very manipulative, and consumed by their own power and ability to affect the course of history. They make sacrifices, but usually the wrong ones, catering instead to what feels good to themselves, and the people who elected them into power. That is clearly the case today in the United States of America with this presidency. The Bible is clear “In the generation in which the time of the end of days will come it will be like the time of Noah, a time will arrive, impudence will increase, esteem being perverted (i.e., none shall esteem another, or even the most esteemed shall be perverted and deceitful) … and the kingdom will be converted to heresy with none to rebuke them. A time will come when the whole world is converted to the belief of the heretics. The capsizing of the United States of America can be stayed and the great ship of State righted if America’s heart returns to God with a God centered government. We had it once and it did work quite well until all of this changing took place in the last decades. Pray for America and a truthful way. I love America and the freedom I enjoy, loosing it is unthinkable. Steven Americas Heart Change
6-28-2009 Quoting The Hebrew Press on This day they said; “Ma'ariv uses a joke to make a point, "'I'm going with an alternative treatment. Maybe that will get rid of the disease', says the patient. 'I already told you,' sighs the doctor, 'there is no cure for diabetes. What is this new treatment you are about to try?' 'Chlorine injections, the substance will clean out my system', says the patient. 'That will kill you, shouts the doctor in amazement!' 'Either it will or it won't,' says the patient; 'anyway, what's your alternative?'" The author concludes, "There's not always an alternative.” Do we have to kill the patient to rid the collective body of an American heart without God? A nations government whose been taken over by secular humanists with humanistic ideology? Or will it be give and it will be given; There are two choices in life: Give and it will be given, or take before you are taken. If we look at our present political, economic and cultural meltdown, we can ask ourselves -- how much "taking before you are taken" is going on? I think it has reached pandemic levels, as trust is being corroded across the whole culture. The only answer is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and hence, the power to give and it will be given. But how do we inject trust into an untrusting world? This is what Jesus did on the cross, and we need to grasp the depth of the theology involved. 1. Will it be "give and it will be given" or "take before you are taken?" 2. Will it be "pre-partisan politics" (a level playing field for all ideas where truth will rise to the top) or "post-partisan politics" (where debate is declared over and political will is imposed)?3. Will it be "Our heavenly Father" (the Source for strong and loving earthy fatherhood) or "big daddy government"(the disastrous wake of the chosen absence of the biological father)? Thus, a prophetic challenge to those in political power: What is biblical, and who serves that which is biblical? Only a heart for change in a Godly direction will have a heavenly outlook and outcome. If America strips God from its fabric it will continue to come apart and be destroyed. We are seeing God now take his divine hand off of a once great and Christian Nation. The cry for security and freedom are not yet heard because the thundering herd has not yet been fenced in and trapped. Prayer and fasting are the only thing that we as a people who know the Truth can do right now, and it is the only thing that will move God in improving our Countries downward spiral into the pit of Despotism and Anarchy. Think about it, I’m praying, and praying hard. How about you? Steven You learn a lot about a culture from its heroes.
6-28-2009 Yes; I believe that you do learn a lot about a culture from its heroes. If you need evidence that the European High Middle Ages were murderous, brutal and primitive, look at the heroes of the age -- they were warriors, not scientists, and so murderous that a healthy dose of historical revisionism is needed to maintain their positive image. The Crusaders, for example, are celebrated, while the trail of Jewish blood they left across Europe is relegated to a footnote. To this day, statues in Ukraine celebrate Chmielnicki the Cossack, while modern historians engage in downward revisions of the appalling number of Jews murdered during the uprising he led. At least we can say that today, butchers are no longer celebrated -- at least not in the Western world. Nonetheless, the news headlines have been filled this week with the passing of three famous Americans, all from the entertainment industry. These are today's heroes: actors, musicians, sports stars -- people whose contribution to society is to give others something to think about other than their own lives. And meanwhile, entertainment figures are hardly good models when it comes to stable marriages, lack of drug use, and other conduct. Would the passing of a Nobel-prize-winning scientist be the topic of headlines for days? Would his death be memorialized with a moment of silence in the U.S. House of Representatives? Yes; they did. Are these the examples we should be holding up for the next generation? What is our culture telling us? Are we shallow as a Nation without any deep thought??? Where are the political heroes that need to be celebrated nurtured and encouraged to lead this great Nation called America? We have got to find them and implore them to lead in this time of peril for America. We are a great people and now we need a great leader to stand up and pull this Country back together. We are sliding quickly over the edge and it will be even harder as time passes on for that leader to standup for what we all love and cherish and that’s our freedom. The Chevys at the levy and it’s dry; Oh so dry, but the rain will come, and the rivers will flow if we believe together. Dry ground will be satisfied with the water that we need to feel free as men and women. There is a drought for strong leadership in American today, but the cry for it is faint. The sound of the cry for our freedom will have to get a lot louder, and a lot stronger. One of my heroes was our past president Ronald Reagan and I believe there are those who will step up in such a time as this to lead this great and powerful nation back to its roots. My belief is in the One True God. That is saying that ultimately, the universe exists as a single entity, and that is God. There is nothing else, but God. However, in the world that we currently inhabit, we cannot easily discern that reality. It seems like there are a multitude of forces and energies competing in the universe. It is just about impossible to truly experience and understand that God is the ONLY force, the ONLY energy that exists; it seems like God, God forbid, is just one of many entities that exist. Only in a future time, with the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of God’s true dominion of the universe, will this reality be clear to us. In the world to come, we will truly comprehend that God is the only One, the only thing that exists. The way reaffirms our belief, that no, there are not a multitude of forces in the universe—there is only One—God. In order to shield us from the illusion of this world, a world where we cannot easily see the Oneness of God, we close our eyes, shutting ourselves off from this world. The covering of the eyes is an indication to us, that seeing, in this world, is NOT believing, that we cannot trust our senses; that the truth, that God is the only force, is hidden from us, at least for now. In this manner, we can better understand the true meaning behind the declaration of the way. That is the deeper reason for covering our eyes during the recital of meditation that’s needed now for our nation. Yes, we need to pray for a leader and for our nation, pray for the American Truth and Way, a way of freedom for all. A good patriot is a prayer warrior too so let’s get to work and pray today. Every dog has his day
6-28-2009 At its simplest level there is an expression of a wise old adage: "Every dog has his day." It is not in our best interests to get on anyone's bad side or to discard any items which may one day be of value. Any person may one day be in a position to help or to harm us. We should never underestimate the importance of one more friendship -- as well as man's capacity to harbor a grudge. Who or what is not worthy of our attention today may tomorrow come back to haunt us. I’m not talking about our enemies whom we fight. Second point -- "do not be dismissing of any 'thing'" to explain one should not think it so unlikely that his words, uttered in private against the person he was disrespectful of, will cause him harm. Words spread quickly and are eventually heard by the wrong people, placing the nouns of their utterance on their utterer. (The spoken word is spiritual commanding powers and principalities to work in glorifying God..) Note the two explanations. (1) No information we are told should be entirely disregarded, for even remote dangers may one day strike. (2) Any opportunity we have to learn words of Truth should not be passed up or delayed. Study; and be led of THE SPIRIT now when the opportunity arises, for who knows what the future will bring? As we often find that the simple yet poignant words of our scholarly leaders (or Sages) can be understood on a far deeper level as well. I don't believe the intention of our Sages is simply that we must value others for self - serving reasons -- because they may one day benefit us. "Every person has his hour" and it is far more profound when you consider where it’s coming from. (The so called educated of our US colleges and Universities or the common man led by THE SPIRIT).We should appreciate other creations -- both animate and inanimate -- because every object in creation is special, and has some unique role to fulfill in God's Master Plan. Every person has his hour; every object has its place. There is nothing that God created without a purpose. Every person has his or her own unique contribution to make -- and at one time will be indispensable to the perfection of the world. Every object will in some way and at some time be used to glorify God's Name. And if we look down on any human being (including ourselves) or are neglectful of any part of God's world, we miss this crucial message. There will be a time when each of us will have to do his or her part -- or the world will be that less sanctified. Nothing God placed in this world is without purpose: God makes no mistakes. And when we realize this, no one and nothing is insignificant. God created all of humankind from a single set of parents and that’s to indicate God's greatness, "for a person mints many coins from the same mold and they all resemble one another. But the King of Kings, the Holy One blessed be He, forms each person in the image of Adam and not one of them resembles his fellow. Therefore, each and every person must say, 'For me was the world created.'" God, in His infinite wisdom and concealed in His wonders of mans DNA and heterosexual reproduction, willed it that no two people are exactly alike (possibly excepting identical twins). God made each of us different because we all have different, unique missions to fulfill in this world. God wants each of us to serve Him in his or her own special way, using the unique set of talents and capabilities only he or she possesses. There is something Steven Longchamps can contribute to the world that no one else can do quite the same. If he recognizes and fulfills his role, the world is one step closer to its perfection. If he fails -- if he refuses to see his own uniqueness and asks himself what exactly God wants of him -- the world will lack something no one else can replace. And so, in our own special way, for each and every one of us was the world created. There is a well known thought and hard-to-find which states that King David felt he understood the purpose of everything in creation except for a very few things, one of them being the spider. Then on one occasion, while fleeing from King Saul, David ran into a cave. A spider quickly came along and wove a web over the entrance. Saul, seeing an undisturbed web, concluded that no one had entered the cave and went off. David, after realizing what had happened, humbly corrected his misconception. I don't believe the message of this story is that King David had such a thorough understanding of the ecosystems of the Near East. (David's complaint was that spiders spend all their time weaving webs too flimsy to be of any use to man.) Yet King David had the keen instinct that everything must play a role in God's Master Plan. In his world -- a world in which God's existence was ever-present throughout his travails -- everything must be purposeful. He expected to experience firsthand the usefulness of all God's creatures: the strength of his convictions would have them play a role in his very own life. And God saw David's wishes fulfilled. We further find King David to be a man to whom every aspect of creation was purposeful and combined into a magnificent whole. Nothing was mundane in David's universe. The same David who stood inspired before God and His Word. ("The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack" (Psalms 23:1); "The Lord is my light and salvation" (27:1); "God's Word is complete, restoring the soul... God's commandments are clear, enlightening the eyes" (19:8-9); "If not for Your Bible, my delight, I would have perished in my affliction" (119:92)), saw the same beauty in every aspect of the cosmos, both great and small. In Psalms 104 he reflects on the natural world: David was a man who knew his God and did mighty exploits to glorify his God. "God waters the mountains from His upper chambers; from the fruit of your works the land is planted.... The trees of the Lord are planted, the cedars of Lebanon which He planted; there where the birds nest, the stork with its home in the cypresses. The high mountains for the wild goats, rocks as refuge for the rabbits.... The young lions roar after their prey, and to ask the Lord for their food.... Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until evening. How great are your works, Lord, You have made all of them with wisdom.... All of them look to You to give their food in its time. You give to them; they gather it in. You open Your hands; they are satisfied with good. You hide Your face; they are frightened. You gather their spirits; they expire and to their dust they return. You send out Your spirit; they are created, and You renew the face of the earth. May the glory of God be forever. May God rejoice in His works in us all." (104:13-31). Nature, in its harmony, complexity and precision, speaks of sanctity and Godliness no less than the Bible itself. The starry heavens fulfill a purpose in God's master plan, not least so that man may gaze upwards and see the vastness and grandeur in perfect motion -- bespeaking an even greater Creator. Each person and every object in this world contains a spark of holiness and has an individual mission to fulfill. In unison -- the galaxies, the planets, the earth and its ecosystems, as well as the societies, communities and families of man in which each member lovingly accepts and fulfills his role -- are nothing less than a reflection of God Himself. I write and study so I don’t sin. How about you. Steven A Brilliant Statement for Life
6-28-2009 A truly brilliant statement for life has to be, “Be careful how you treat people on your way up, because you see the same people on the way down as well.” In its simplicity these words have much to say about the purpose of life and how we live it. There are two major statements being made here. The first one is that life is filled with ups-and-downs, as each one of us tries to climb his own particular ladder to success. Behind all that mutual cooperation, all that buying-and-selling, are people just trying to get ahead and make it in life. Every moment there are those who are up, and those who are down, but just about everyone is trying to float to the top and stay there. The second statement is that, though succeeding in life may be the main event, it all takes place against a backdrop of relationships. Like it or not, personal success seems to involve other people, whose help we seem to need, at one time or another, in one way or another, to achieve our own personal objectives. And, just like we do not like to be abused or taken for granted, neither do they, which means that, if you want to get ahead in life, be nice. Golden Rule! It’s a simple formula for success. Nice guys do not finish last, but first. Nasty people might get ahead and claw their way to the top, but can it really be called success if no one else is happy about their accomplishments? It’s like making a lot of money and having no where to spend it, because, since we are such emotional people, and because our happiness is so, so dependent upon what others think of us, who can truly be happy if they are hated? Yes, such people can build a happy world around them on the outside; purchasing all the pleasures that money can buy. However, what good does any of it really do them if their own inner world is a miserable one? And, it seems, we have been constructed in such a way that this world, our inner world, cannot be built with anything other than good traits and a healthy attitude towards life. The monkey wrench in all of this is insecurity. Most people are not Priests, though they can act like them. However, usually due to no fault of their own, insecure people are that way because of some lack in their upbringing, which can even include trauma that was not properly processed. They grow up with a certain measure of self-doubt, which makes them somewhat emotionally needy and vulnerable, overly sensitive to the words and actions of other people. Such individuals are easily hurt and offended, and quickly become resentful, frustrated, and angry. (Liberals) As a result, some become reclusive, while others become offensive. However, neither is able to properly relate to other people, including their own parents, spouses, workers and community. Over time, because they have become self-absorbed, they lose their ability to remain objective enough to know if what they are saying or doing is an appropriate response to the reality before them. Liberals live in a world outside of reality. They act in what they feel is a justified manner, as others around them look at each other thinking, “Is this person for real?” It’s a real problem. It’s a real problem because, as it turns out, what the original statement is really saying is that life is not about getting ahead, as many might think, but about the relationships that we build. A strong family unit, church, and community are indeed, the main events in life. Obtaining power over people or the ruthless pursuit of climbing the corporate ladder are a backdrop for Liberals and are the main arena of their life. Real life is the building and maintaining of good relationships. For, money comes and money goes, and with it, success, but the people you see on the way up are, are the same people, invariably, that you see on the way down. They’re the constant in life. However, for the self-centered person, (Liberals) they might as well not even exist. For the person who only can feel what he is feeling, and in particular, his feelings of lack, of relationships are self-serving, as history shows and repeats time and again. Any argument that is for the sake of Heaven will result in a constructive outcome; but one not for the sake of Heaven will not have a constructive outcome but total destruction. So what I see is the continued decline of a once great nation who set the standard as an example of the dispute that was for the sake of Heaven. World War II was such a dispute and a world wide dispute. The dispute between Hitler and his Third Reich which was not for the sake of Heaven, but of a Liberal sake. The point of relationship for the sake of Heaven here on earth is a challenge and can be argued with heat from both sides, but the simple fact is that all things work together for the good of those who love God. We have lost God in our country along the path we are on as a nation. For all intents and purposes something was taking, something for selfish purpose a purpose not of heavens sake but mans. It really didn’t matter if it would destroy further the lives and families in a short period of time it was considered an experiment in taking over the power from the people. Power over relationships at the cost of the total destruction of family, church, and community. There has occurred in the past three years the greatest transfer of wealth in this country out of the hands of the middle class to just a few and it continues. It happens all the time, all over the world, and all throughout history. It’s happening right now in the Middle-East, where all the concessions that have been made to date for the sake of peace, have been one-sided, with the Israelis giving more and more to the Arabs, while getting absolutely nothing back in return. Only gangsters say, “Just be happy we’re going to let you live,” and get away with it. The reason why there is no peace in the Middle-East is not because Israel is holding on to land that belongs to them, or building in areas that they have already built-up. There is no peace in the Middle-East because this is an argument during which the Israelis do nothing but listen to the “plight” of the Palestinian people, while the Palestinian do nothing to hear what the Jewish people are saying. They couldn’t relate to the Israeli people and their plight even if they wanted to. When was the last time any Arab nation conceded anything to the Western world? They don’t even concede anything to their own kind, so what makes us think that they are capable of agreeing to any kind of compromise, when it is off their religious and political radar. Like all people with a chip on their shoulder and a belief that they are bolder, it has always been about winning, and always will be about winning. Losing, on any level, in the Muslim world, is just an excuse to come back another day and fight harder to win. And, they have won again. This same attitude and mindset was a spirit emblazon upon ever child in American and taught that to loose was unthinkable, but now our schools have taught it’s children that America is evil and an oppressor to the world. Like the bully in the school courtyard who gets what he wants by making others fear him, the Arab world has done the same to the Western nations. As the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, told the Arab nations this week, he’s on their side all the way, prepared to allow them to win once again, albeit in Western political fashion. Willy was slick, but Barack is slicker. Indeed, he is dangerously slick, saying what the Jewish people think they want to hear, when in fact, what they are hearing plays right into the hands of those who would love to see Israel take a quick exit from this world. It’s really a two-state solution designed to morph into a one-state solution, in favor of the Arab world, as the Holocaust, which Obama used as the basis to justify the modern Israeli state, becomes less and less important in the eyes of the world. Not only does the Holocaust mean absolutely nothing to the Arab world, they would be willing to repeat it with their own hands. So, President Obama, in effect, you just told the Arab world, “Let Israel exists for a reason that you don’t even believe in.” And, they’re supposed to buy into that, and accept our existence based upon it? Is that an intelligent assumption to make? Or is it another way of saying, “Stage one of getting you the entire land is to disconnect the Jewish people from any Biblical right to be there. Let’s transform this entire issue from being a religious one, to a political one, and a mission of mercy. Because, where as the former is hard to snuff out, the latter can easily be overrun by changing the politics and reducing the need for further mercy. Then the Jewish State is yours for the taking and the world will look the other way, indeed, maybe even cheer you on.” Did that actually occur to President Obama when he made his speech? Does it really matter, if that is what the Arab’s and the entire world heard? Some of the worst ideas have been given over innocently and even with good intentions, like what happened with the Israeli soldier in last week’s news still held. Faulty perspectives on life and reality result in faulty thinking and planning, and if Obama truly believes that what he is saying is the best approach to peace in the Middle-East, then he is really off-base regarding his perspective on life, the Middle-East, the Arabs, and the Jewish people. Certainly he has no, or little, appreciation of his role in history. We can debate the core of President Obama for a long time to come; many already do. In the meantime, the point is that you can’t make peace with someone, or “someone’s” who can only relate to their own world, with people who live with a chip on their collective shoulder. No doubt that every time the Palestinians have sat down with their Israeli counterparts to discuss peace, it has been more of a formality than a reality. When it comes to the Arab opinion of the Jewish people and their state, they are quite transparent. There is a Seder, a (Divine Order) and an order to this world. Secure people know that, and respect that, and work with it they are the educated and know the Bible. They understand and appreciate that true success can only be achieved this way. All failure is the result of those who ignore the Divine Seder of Creation, and try to make reality something it is not, just to make it work out better for them. (Liberals) They do no one any favors, and least of all, themselves. Think about it, I have, and I’m still observing, working to strengthen the foundations we love in America our freedom. 6-28-2009 Why do we study the Bible? If there is no Bible study, there is no proper holy conduct; if there is no proper holy conduct then there is no Bible study. If there is no wisdom there is no fear of God; if there is no fear of God there is no wisdom. If there is no knowledge there is no understanding; if there is no understanding there is no knowledge. Without the wisdom of the Father and the knowledge that is the Word Jesus, the understanding or enlightenment or illumination can’t come from The Holy Spirit. It is a balance of Gods Wisdom, Knowledge and understanding when we read the Holy Bible. Gods grace is poured out on those who seek God and truth. The Father’s will is that all would have life in Christ and its His will that wisdom be given to the children of God but to others it is not given. If there is no flour (sustenance) there is no Bible; if there is no Bible there is no flour." Our daily bread is just that, a continual feeding on the spiritual sustenance that can only come from a personal study of Gods word found in the Bible.;The Bible contains the mind of God, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It’s the travelers map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilots compass, the soldier’s sword, and the Christians charter. Here now reading the Bible, Paradise is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good the design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents. We can look at this holy walk in another way if your ready, by introducing what are basically circular- logic dilemmas. In a discussion of this particular case, let's take a look at the structure: If there is no X, there is no Y, meaning, one cannot acquire Y unless he has first acquired X. And now, continues our holy walk, how does one acquire X? With Y! (Gee, there's a hole in the bucket, dear... ;-) We are thus caught in a circle -- with neither beginning nor end. X and Y are both necessary for one another; neither can be achieved on its own. If so, how does one ever embark on the paths of X and Y (say of Bible study and of proper holy conduct -- our holy walk first example)? To impress upon us the challenge of spiritual growth is not to give us a quick-fix recipe on how to achieve it. To achieve Bible Truth, wisdom, or any of the great endeavors of life, one does not advance in simple linear progression. There is no simple, easily defined, step-by-step program. One must first make an effort in X -- say Bible study, and then he will slowly begin to improve his personal conduct. Having made himself a somewhat more decent and refined human being, he will then begin to truly appreciate his Bible study -- and it will impact upon him all the more. And as he becomes a more caring and sensitive human being, he will *really* appreciate the depth and beauty of the Bible's teachings -- and then they will *truly* impact on both him and his understanding of the Bible. Ad infinitum. And this, of course, introduces us to the true dilemma of spiritual growth. There is no simple cause-and-effect process. One has to work, to push himself in the necessary directions without noticing any discernible gains. Time spent is not time lost. Isa. 55:1-3 Mt. 25:1-10 Rev. 3:18 Jn. 6:27(How does learning some obscure laws of leprous houses or of Temple meal offerings make me a greater human being?) And eventually he will find that he has become a different person. An old friend of mine once repeated to me what his karate teacher told him: "For the longest time you will run drills and practice moves feeling like it's just a bunch of forced motions. Then one day you will wake up a karate-ka." When we advance spiritually, we're attempting to penetrate something deeper than our bodies or minds. We are trying to get in touch with our very souls, that hidden piece of Godliness within ourselves. And there is no direct route. When it comes to spiritual growth, there is no start, finish, or clearly-defined course of action. We latch onto a circle -- at one of its infinite points -- and begin to spiral upwards. Let us now move to our holy walk first statement -- "If there is no Bible there is no proper holy conduct." The simple understanding is that the Bible teaches us the proper way to behave towards others. Our consciences provide us with some guidance for distinguishing between right and wrong, but they alone will not provide us with sufficient direction for living. How much charity should we give, to whom should we give, what is too little, what is too much, how do we honor our parents and raise our children, what is fair advertising, invasion of privacy, a meaningful relationship, etc., etc. The Bible fills in all of the blanks. It not only tells us to love our neighbors (Levit. 19:18), but it defines it with volumes of detail, without which "love your neighbor" is little more than poetic cliché. But even more fundamentally, the Bible teaches us what *is* proper conduct and what is not. Human wisdom alone can never be trusted to dictate moral behavior -- as the past century's experiences can certainly testify. Scripture provides us with an important case in point. Look at Germany in the 1930’s with Adolf Hitler.Scripture says there is a way that seams right unto man but the end there of are the ways of death. Pro. 14:12Study to show yourself approved unto God, not man. 2 Tim. 2:15 1 Thes. 4:11God will use his mind to talk with you. If you don’t know his mind how will you understand what he’s talking about?Steven
A HOLY WALK 2 CONTINUE
6-28-2009 Eze. 37:1-6 When you have met the Lord, you never go away the same. The place where you are when He calls you is not the same place where you end up after He carries you. If you read Gods Word long enough you will notice that God will ask the questions that pertain to the things He requires you to do. For an example He asked what can be done with these dry bones. God is asking do you see any potential in your own situation. Do you see yourself as a grasshopper that’s hopping around or what? The limit of mans extremity is just the beginning of Gods opportunity. Jesus our greatest example and teacher who told us that all things are possible to him that believes. Mt. 9:19-29 (23) Tells us to believe in Him and God but we have to ask. Give us this day our daily. · The proof of Gods wisdom is in the actions it produces. Mt. 11:19 · The proof of wisdom is in all the kinds of people it produces. Lu. 7:35 Seed is Gods Word. · Faith comes from hearing the truth in Gods Word, God said it, I believe it. Ro. 10:17 Ro. 5:1 · The spoken promises of God to His children allow opportunity for Gods powers to operate; it speaks to principalities and powers of God in heavenly places. However neither angels nor any power ordained of God available for the heirs of the kingdom will not abide in a bush of unbelief. There is no salvation for angels once fallen in your mistakes. Jude 9 Mt. 13:31-32 Mt. 17:20 · Ask of God the question as He also asks of you. Ask and it shall be given. Mt. 7:7-11 God is light and there is neither darkness nor shadow. Ja. 1:17 Num. 23:19-30 Num. 24:1-25 It is all going to happen as it is written. Bless the wisdom that is given in Gods Holy Word of Truth.A Great Light is now coming into view they can't explain it. It is the blinding light of TRUTH thats coming so are you ready or do you want to stay in the shadow of a lie or the grey of a half truth? Think about it. Steven
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FEH_b-DtP4 Who is wise?
6-28-2009
Who is wise? He who learns from all people, as it is said: 'From all those who taught me I gained understanding' (Psalms 119:99). Who is strong? He who conquers his evil inclination, as it is said: 'Better is one slow to anger than a strong man and one who rules over his spirit than a conqueror of a city' (Proverbs 16:32). Who is rich? He who is satisfied with his lot, as it is said: 'When you eat the toil of your hands you are fortunate and it is good for you' (Psalms 128:2). 'You are fortunate' -- in this world; 'and it is good for you' -- in the World to Come. Who is honored? He who honors others, as it is said: 'For those who honor Me will I honor, and those who scorn Me will be degraded' (I Samuel 2:30)." Who is wise? He who learns from all people:" At its simplest level, the message is that one who seeks wisdom wherever it may be found is the one most likely to acquire it. He or she is willing to ask anyone and everyone. He is not as conscious of his own reputation as to refuse to "lower" himself to seek knowledge from someone not as important or credentialed as he. The Bible student who humiliates himself before others in order to understand the Bible (by asking others "stupid" questions and the like) will eventually be elevated on account of his own Bible knowledge. So many people begin their e-mails with: "I'm sure this is a stupid question, but..." or "I'm sure I should know this already, but..." Those are the ones who will not so long be "stupid". It's the ones too ashamed to admit their ignorance who will be forced to wallow in it. Further that when a person inquires wisdom of everyone, it indicates that he or she has a love of knowledge. His thirst will take him to every person and every place; it will not be quenched until he has drunk his fill. Such a person may be considered wise even before he has studied, since his desire will soon lead him on the direct path towards scholarship. Why is learning from *everyone* so crucial for accomplishment Biblical wisdom? Isn't it true that some people just don't know as much as others? Should we really be spending time trying to glean bits of information from the unlearned when we would make much better use of our time studying ourselves or from a Biblical teacher? The answer lies in the true understanding of the Bibles definition of wisdom. When God commanded us to study His Word, it was not just a matter of memorizing dry facts and information that could be gained from texts and book knowledge alone. We would never need to bother interacting with anyone else (thereby interrupting our own study time). Rather, Bible study at its highest level is the understanding of the application of the Biblical principles to real people and real life situations -- how do the Biblical eternal truths apply to the human condition? God's wisdom is eternal, yet no two people are precisely alike and relate to the Bible in precisely the same manner. Every one of us has his own perspective, his own life story, and his own unique personality. Each of us will see a slightly different message in the Bible, and will have his or her own fresh insight into its beauty and relevance. If you would take three people and have them stand on a dark night around a blazing fire and asked them; what do you see? Or what do you perceive? The facets of the flame are different to each one who can see, and yet they will all agree that there is a fire or a flame. Therefore, the Bible scholar cannot really understand the Bible if he does not comprehend what it means to other human beings. By my very nature, I cannot understand the Bible in every sense it has to convey. I am bound by my own perspective, my own background, my own intellectual capacities, and my own way of thinking. And the Bible is far too profound and all-encompassing to be fully fathomed by any single individual, no matter how wise. I must therefore branch out, attempting to understand what the Bible means to my fellow human beings -- what are the other equally-valid methods of relating to truth. I must grow out of my own shell. When I realize that truth is far more composite and multifaceted than it appears to me -- that black-and-white to me may be shades-of-gray to my fellow -- I am ready to truly become wise. Israel is a land given of God. There is a saying which states that there is one letter in the Bible for every single one of God’s people. Every one of us has his own unique understanding of the Bible and his own angle on truth. No one has the monopoly on the word of God. And only when the student of God’s Word is prepared to grow out of his own limited perspective and views the Big Picture has he truly embarked on the path of Wisdom. Isa. 55:1-13 2 Co. 9:10 He. 6:7 2 Co. 10:5 Isa. 35:8 Isa. 42:1-16 "Who is strong? He who conquers his evil inclination:" Our Bible tells us that strength should not be measured in physical might and fighting ability, but in restraint and the controlling of one's passions. One does not even entertain that physical strength might be the determinant of a man's might. Human beings rate pretty low as far as that's concerned. Being one of the weakest, slowest (relative to our size), most delicate (in terms of what our stomachs can take, extreme temperature endurance, etc.), The longest to mature of the animal kingdom, we have very little to brag about. God did not seem to invent us as His wondrous masterpieces of grace, strength or endurance. If we see ourselves as nothing more than physical specimens -- if our self-image is based on our macho -- we are trading in the far higher goals God has in mind for us for something which just does not fit the specs. Paul illustrates: Ep. 3:8-14 Ep. 6:10-19 Ep. 5:19-33 The quoted does, however, contrast one who is slow to anger as a warrior understands the "strong man" of the quoted to mean a soldier. Warriors at least exhibit some level of bravery and self-discipline. A soldier who can survive basic training and endure harsh battle conditions or as a commander who can orchestrate a military campaign -- such individuals demonstrate true valor -- of character as well as of body. (One cannot help but notice the high proportion of presidents and national leaders who preceded their political careers with successful military careers. My sense is that this is only in part due to the heroics associated with military distinction. The voting public may also have a sense that someone who has the necessary self-discipline and strength of character to run a battalion may just have the super-discipline required to run a country.) Our current President is lacking in so many areas it is frightening to imagine it. To the determined; it simply states nothing matches willpower. True strength is that of the spirit; that of the body is different in kind. "Passive" behavior -- not losing one's cool when the kids are infuriating, holding oneself back when insulted, resisting temptation -- may appear more as doing "nothing" than acting with strength. (What could be more "manly" than banging on the table, slamming the door, and yelling at the top of your lungs?) But to the wise correctly observe, it often takes far greater strength to do nothing than to react and to overreact. Strength is controlling the animal that lurks within. Rashness, violence, and thinking with one's muscles -- all of these are forms of losing one's control and one's humanity, and in the final analysis, are signs of weakness. One final interesting observation is the universality of God’s law. As we know, there are Seven fundamental laws which God commanded upon all mankind. Possibly, six of them are ones we'd "expect" to see -- do not kill, steal, commit adultery, etc. One, however, is a little off the beaten track -- not to eat a limb severed from a living animal. Somehow, that does not strike us as one of the fundamental tenets of human morality. What is so crucial about it? Why did God deem it so far-reaching as to command its observance on the entire world? I once heard it explained as follows. What is the theme of this commandment? In a word, self-restraint. Don't just take whatever you want whenever you want it. You want to eat meat? You want to eat *raw* meat? Immediately? At least wait until the animal is dead. This is not a matter of religious ritual or living ascetically. That was not commanded on all of mankind. But one thing was: don't be an animal. This is universal; it is a simple matter of, and a fact of our humanity. A person cannot live, nor can society function, if people do nothing more than satisfy their desires -- whenever they want and wherever they want. The Seven Laws do not tell us we must be God’s people, but they do tell us we must be humans. Really not so much to ask of us, but above all else this is what distinguishes us -- what crowns us -- as God's creations. Glad to be a part of something great and wonderful as this web site. Thanks Steven
The Pied Piper;
There was a Pied Piper who said, we live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change it!
Then he said; we are going to tax the rich fat-cats.
-
-
And the people said, Sock it to them and redistribute their wealth.
-
And the people said, Show me the money!
And then he said redistribution of wealth is good for everybody?
And one lone reporter asked? Isn’t that a Marxist policy??
Then someone asked with no foreign relations experience, how will you deal with the radical terrorists?? And the Pied Piper said simple; I’ll sit down and talk with them and show them how nice we really are and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill all of us! Then the Pied Piper said: I will give 95% of you lower taxes! And one, lone voice said; But 40% of us don’t pay ANY taxes. So the Pied Piper said; then I’ll give you some of the taxes that the fat-cats pay.
Then the Pied Piper said; I’ll tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!
And he said; I’ll mandate employer- funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage.
Then he said; I’ll penalize employers who ship jobs overseas.
Then the Pied Piper actually said; I’ll bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!?
So the Pied Piper said; not to worry. If your rebate isn’t enough to cover your expenses, we’ll bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!? Then he said; Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let’s grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, frees medical care and bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing.
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy slowed even further. Then the Pied Piper said; I am the Messiah and I’m here to save you! We’ll just print more money so everyone will have enough!? But our foreign trading partners said, Wait a minute. Your dollar isn’t worth what it was. You’ll have to pay more.
-
-
And the people said; Wait a minute. That’s not fair!?
-
-
And the world said; neither are these other, idiotic programs you’ve embraced. You’ve become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you’ll play by our rules!
-
-
And the people said; what have we done??? But it was too late. The gate was finally hung on the pen and the people were trapped and a nation was doomed.
If you think this is a fairy tale, open your eyes and ears. It’s happening RIGHT NOW!
Did you know the president’s name is really an acronym? One Big Astounding Mistake America
