"In God We Trust" has been the national motto since 1956 and has appeared on U.S. currency since 1957. This is another attempt by the radical left to ban God from the public square. The Hate Crimes legislation would authorize the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute certain bias-motivated crimes based on the victim's actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability. Even more troubling is that S.909 could create special protections for pedophiles. Democrats voted down an amendment to the bill that would have excluded pedophilia and other "sexual orientations" from the definition of "sexual orientation." For years, AFA and other pro-family groups have issued warnings about federal Hate Crimes legislation. The reality is that the purpose of this bill is to silence those who speak out against homosexuality. If the legislation passes, pastors could be prosecuted under the federal inducement statute for preaching the biblical view of homosexuality. For example, a person could commit an act of violence against a homosexual individual and blame it on the pastor's sermon. Similar laws have been used to prosecute religious speech in the U.S. at the state level and abroad.

So now with insolvent banks and car companies propped up by a minted currency storm we are a nation standing on air holding on to China’s hand so as not plummet down the abyss to the graveyard of dead nations. Now, who, precisely, Mr. And Mrs. Congressperson is paying your handsome salaries? Shocking is inadequate to describe your tacit acceptance of the narcissistic, sophomoric pretender occupying the chief executive’s office and his retinue of miscreants who are doing their best to earn us third world status. You blanch not when he covers a Christian symbol before giving a speech at a university, nor when he refuses to proffer due respect to our war dead at Normandy, nor when he slights our military personnel by suggesting they pay out of their pockets to treat the wounds they suffered defending us. Unbelievably you also took no exception to him representing us not as a nation of Christians but just citizens and now he calls us one of the biggest Moslem nations in the world. And of the two million Palestinians who will migrate here on our dollar how many do you reasonably suspect are terrorists? Investigating that would be more laborious than would have been an actual reading of the “stimulus package”. But the Islam that brought us Lockerbie’s flight 103, the flights of 9-11, the tragic voyages of the Achilles Lauro and the USS Cole is not a religion of peace. There is no other Islam and it’s faithful will tolerate worship of no other god but Allah. Undoubtedly you congresspersons will give Moslems warm welcome to anybody else’s neighborhood but your own when they arrive. So you have legislated for us to accept unspoken medical-spiritual-moral- risk, (abortion), and now you want to introduce elements of danger into our communities. What will you tell us next; perhaps that our houses and property has been mortgaged to China, because they don’t want our currency? Knowing all of this how can we not reasonably suspect that you of congress have every trust and faith that the Chinese and the Moslems who appear to have a good chance of inheriting this nation will pay your handsome salaries and future retirement pensions. It is clearly not US whom you represent. From all the aforementioned deeds you know that we are broke. And you’ve thought nothing in making sure that your children and ours will in all likelihood be broke as well. Indictments and impeachments can be long and drawn out although probably should be pursued where necessary to see that some of you never return to office. Probably we are best prepared to use the recall process and fill your corrupt shoes before the 2010 elections. In either case the comfortable, corrupt and career minded must be purged from your ranks and replaced with people who will put the interests of GOD and their constituency first.

Last week The John Birch Society updated our subscribers on the Clean Water Restoration Act (S. 787) which would place virtually all waters of the United States under the control of the federal government. (If you have not yet taken action on that item, you can do so now by clicking here.)

As if that is not enough, there is another bill in the House that would place federal control on much of the food industry.

Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) introduced the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 (H.R. 875) on February 4, 2009. The bill, which currently carries 40 cosponsors, would effectively transfer all state control over food regulation to the Food Safety Administration (FSA), a newly established federal bureaucracy to be created within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). It would very likely contribute to the eventual abandonment of all independent, family farms as well as all organic farming operations due to the high probability of overbearing federal regulations arbitrarily determined by FSA in favor of corporate factory farms.

H.R. 875 would violate the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by delegating what should be state-level authority to the federal government. The burdensome record keeping that would be required by the FSA would threaten the success of small agricultural businesses and family-owned farms who may not be able to comply with new federal restrictions.

While all Americans should be concerned about yet another power grab at the hands of the federal government, family farm and other small agricultural businesses should be especially cautious of H.R. 875 as it threatens their own businesses and way of living.

Please take a few moments of your time and urge your representative to oppose the passage of H.R. 875 and support the future success of family farms and small agricultural businesses.

H.R. 875 would violate the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by delegating what should be state-level authority to the federal government. The burdensome record keeping that would be required by the FSA would threaten the success of small agricultural businesses and family-owned farms who may not be able to comply with new federal restrictions.
While all Americans should be concerned about yet another power grab at the hands of the federal government, family farm and other small agricultural businesses should be especially cautious of H.R. 875 as it threatens their own businesses and way of living.

Just when it looked like Barrack Obama’s plan for Government-Run Health Care might be dead on arrival, ABC – now being rightfully called the “All Barack Channel” – comes charging to the rescue.

Forget journalistic integrity! Airing all points of view… not at ABC News….

Instead, the network literally moved its news operation directly into the White House and aired a pathetically disguised primetime infomercial… propaganda under the guise of a “Special Report” … designed to peddle Obama’s snake-oil to the American people.

Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center:

Here's a TINY "Wikipedia" service called "WIKIA" and the "WIKIA" is especially designed to be an OPEN use site for everyone, so that they are ALL capable of entering POLITICAL stuff as a united force.
This site's primary purpose is have a kinda 'open source' for email addresses needed to make a HUGE noise on any topic one would wish to make noise about, to their representatives.

IMO, the easiest way to make a HUGE NOISE and to reach THOUSANDS of MSM, government reps etc. for FREE is to use GMAIL. Gmail will allow 500 emails to be sent out at one time. If one has 5 GMAIL accounts then one can send 5X500 = 2500 emails sent out for free. Yahoo for example allows 50 emails to be sent out...and no more than that.

The email addresses below are taken from the WIKIA and they are emails for the senators STAFF members. WHY! use STAFF members? The answer is a simple one...because one will NOT have to goto the Senators WEb PAGE to send the senators an email. Dear Emil,

This is the second of two Legislative Action Alerts this week on the very important issue of Missile Defense.

Margaret Thatcher is reported to have said, “First you win the argument; then you win the vote.” This week, due in large part to your efforts, we have begun to win the argument in Congress on the issue of missile defense funding.

On Monday we asked you to make phone calls to 11 influential Members of the House Armed Services Committee – requesting that full funding be restored for our nation’s missile defense program – as they consider H.R. 2647, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010.

I am happy to report that, as usual, the ACT! for America grassroots network sprang into action and within minutes, these 11 offices were inundated with phone calls. Our grassroots spoke and our elected officials had no option but to listen.

Thank you for acting so very quickly!

Update: On Tuesday evening, the full House Armed Services Committee considered H.R. 2647, the Fiscal Year 2010 Defense Authorization bill. The legislation included a $1.2 billion cut from last year’s ballistic missile defense appropriated level. While there has been increased funding for theatre missile defense, the proposed legislation REDUCES – by $500 million – the portion of the system that specifically protects the homeland from missiles from North Korea and Iran. If you are following the news lately, you may be perplexed at the timing of this funding reduction. I know I certainly am.

Due to your calls earlier in the week, Committee members debated the issue of missile defense funding on Tuesday (only a small portion of what is contained in the full bill) for an incredible and unprecedented FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. Interestingly enough, nine of the 11 elected officials called by ACT! for America’s grassroots remained silent during this extensive debate. They did not join in with the others who spoke in opposition to funding restoration. In addition, according to Hill staff, two of the elected officials on the call list, Representatives Bobby Bright (AL) and Martin Heinrich (NM), voted at least once for amendments funding the missile defense program!

As I have stated before, ACT! for America is growing in strength each day, and that strength includes becoming a powerful voice up on Capitol Hill. Your actions this week demonstrated that power.

During Tuesday’s Committee consideration of H.R. 2647, there were several amendments offered which would have strengthened our nation’s missile defense program. Unfortunately, they were all defeated. However, in spite of the fact that we did not win the votes necessary to restore missile defense funding levels in this round, we made great progress. Hill staff unequivocally relayed to me that due to the efforts of ACT! for America, “the pro missile defense people hands down won the debate” in yesterday’s Committee discussion. Further, staff said, “winning the debate is 90 percent of the work. We made serious progress last night.”

The bottom line: We need to continue to let the U.S. Congress know that we expect them to protect us from these very real threats. We expect full funding for the missile defense program that protects our homeland from missile attacks.


Today’s Action Alert focuses on a newly-introduced piece of legislation, designed to protect our nation from North Korean and Iranian missiles.

Representative Trent Franks (AZ), Founder and Co-chair of the Bi-Partisan Missile Defense Caucus (MDC) in the House of Representatives, has introduced a bipartisan proposal which will protect our nation from North Korean and Iranian missiles. H.R. 2845, the “Protect the Homeland from North Korean and Iranian Ballistic Missiles Act” is an important and straightforward piece of legislation, especially considering the many recent dangerous and provocative actions by both North Korea and Iran.

THE FACTS ON H.R. 2845:

1. The legislation includes a Statement of Policy which expresses concern that North Korea’s and Iran’s long-range ballistic missile technology poses a real threat to the United States homeland. In addition, it notes that the U.S. Congress supports ballistic missile protection of the United States allies and forward deployed forces — but NOT at the expense of the protection of the United States Homeland.

2. The legislation directs the Secretary of Defense to deploy:

• Not less than 40 ground-based interceptors at Fort Greely, Alaska
  
  
• Not less than 4 ground-based interceptors at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California
  
  
• Such number of ground-based interceptors at such other locations as the President determines appropriate.

3. The legislation authorizes the appropriation for fiscal year 2010, in the amount of $500 million for the ground-based midcourse defense system of the Missile Defense Agency. This would restore the missile defense system up to last year’s appropriated level.

The Obama administration has signaled that it plans to secure passage of S.909, the "Hate Crimes" bill, this week. The House has already passed and the Senate is expected to vote this week on legislation that would create a new class of crimes based on the victim's "actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity." Even more troubling is that S.909 could create special protections for pedophiles. Democrats voted down an amendment to the bill that would have excluded pedophilia and other "sexual orientations" from the definition of "sexual orientation."

Last year, you and 14,460 other people submitted a comment through The Heritage Foundation’s website to the Environmental Protection Agency, asking it not to move forward with carbon dioxide regulations. And your involvement worked—the Bush Administration did not formalize the regulations. But now we have a new Administration, and we need your help again.

On April 17, the Obama Administration issued a ruling which states that global warming poses a serious threat to public health and safety. This “endangerment finding” gives the Environmental Protection Agency authority to put forth the regulations we told you about last fall. Almost anything that emits carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases would be regulated—from cars to power plants to apartment buildings. These forthcoming regulations will impose a massive energy tax that will, at best, result in a change in the Earth's temperature too small to ever notice. The regulations that could come out of such a finding would be sweeping and unprecedented, leaving virtually no portion of the American economy unscathed. In times of financial uncertainty, the last thing American workers, consumers, and families need is more tedious regulation and costly obstacles that limit and tax American economic growth.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to vote soon on legislation that would create a new class of crimes based on the traits of the victim, including "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." Under "hate-crimes" laws like S.909, pastors could be prosecuted for preaching the biblical view of homosexuality. Similar laws have been used to prosecute religious speech in the U.S. at the state level and abroad. Please tell your senators that every human being deserves to be equally protected. Ask them to oppose S.909 or "hate-crimes" legislation in any form.

Amendment Reaches SenateThe Parental Rights Amendment as proposed by Rep. Pete Hoekstra in House Joint Resolution 42 has now been introduced in the U.S. Senate as well. The companion bill, Senate Joint Resolution 16, was introduced by Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina in May. Currently, Senator DeMint is the only sponsor.

Our efforts in the House have been quite successful, securing 93 sponsors to date. So now is the time to contact your senators and urge them to sign on as cosponsors to S.J.Res. 16, the Parental Rights Amendment, in the U.S. Senate.
